Shockey, Football is KING in the US. And when I say football, I mean football-not the round ball kind known as soccer here!

I don't know much about Hockey but I know lot, lots about Baseball...and I contend that it is the most fair sport...you do not really have to be quite the physical specimen as what is found in Hockey to be effective.
In football and in hockey it pays to be a big dude, but in baseball you can be a little guy and still be a very effective player...just sayin'

Alas, the cardinals won't win the world series. not with nelson cruz playing the way he has and the fact that neither the brewers nor the cardinals had any pitching in the NLCS. The Rangers will win the world series, and expect it to be a quick one too

Cardinals may not have a great starting pitching staff..but their bullpen was pretty good in the NLCS. They've proven they can score with the long ball as well as playing small ball.

Oh...and they'll have home field advantage since the NL won the All-star game

home field advantage for the NL never turns out to mean anything. As a NL guy myself I get what you are saying but just from inter league play you can see the NL doesnt gain any real advantage. Starting pitching means everything in the post season and I just cant see the Cardinals depleted staff pulling it off.

Perhaps you got a point there kid, but 5 of the last 8 world series winners have had the home field advantage...and conceivably there could be 4 games at St. Louis, where the Ranger pitchers have to hit and will have to use their DH's in some other manner like pinch-hitting. They might have learned something from last year's WS loss to the HATED giants...but we'll see...guessing that's why they play the games, right?
