| Phu Bai Attacking Zone 1: The enemy has to hike it to get to Bravo, so if you can get in the chopper quickly and make a beeline for Bravo, you might be able to take it with ease. The horseshoe shaped area is open to the defenders allowing their recons to keep tabs on it from various points. Air dropping guys onto alpha is also effective. Move the tank and jeeps through the swamps or watch the road carefully for mines. Moving up the right line is effective and provide multiple areas to stage an attack on Bravo. Moving up the left area to attack on foot doesn't provide much cover once you get close, using the vehicle is a better approach. Using the jeep with the MG to get inside bravo and defend it once armed is a good technique. If you surrender the vehicle and the defenders are using it, blow it up quickly.
Zone 2 & 3: I am drawing a blank on attacking strategies, anyone have any they'd like to share?
Defending Zone 1: Engineers and Medics on the outset to mine the roads and shoot the chopper down. Occasionally check the left approach as the enemy can stage an attack there from multiple areas. Use the M79 to destroy the hootches accross the street from bravo to limit the attackers places to hide. Recons should mortar strike the guard towers in the attackers spawn to prevent them from having a top down view of you. If you can get the jeep with MG park it inside bravo and mow any attackers who decide to approach it.
Zone 2 & 3: Again drawing a blank, help out here. |

| Suggestion -
Zone 2 Attacking - Like spring break it's all about the three way attack. Work the flanks on the left and right outside of the roads and once the enemy responds you can bound up through the undergrowth in the middle and cap the front Mcom. While that's counting down any attempt to defuse it results in a flank collapsing leading to you being able to arm the back Mcom. If the enemy tries to defend the front centre only then your two flanking teams can simply arm the back Mcom and then rampage through the defenders from behind.
Bonus points for getting a spawn point squad member on the reverse side of the hill by the helipad. Don't use the roads you'll get cut to pieces and if you're going to use armour it needs to flank left as the right flank has too much cover for suicide bombers and RPGs. Armor needs flames as it's hard for the MG to depress low enough on the climb. |

| Attacking Zone 3 It seems when the Vietnameese get those tanks this one turns into a suicide-sprint across ricepaddies. Engineers and mortar strikes are going to be god sends here. Best strategy so far seems to make coordinated pushes when the mortar strikes are up. And once recon have used their mortar strike, C4 the objective. It seems like my team always arms it but one tank shells takes out all of us defending it (both M-Com's are located underneath hooches in trenches) but if we C4 it, they wont get a chance to save it. Also a sneaky recon that makes it to their tank spawn is always welcome. |

| zone 2 attack, another immediate heli drop off on top of the rear mcomm (forgot which one it is). arm that mcomm, run out to the other and arm again. one person can arm both crates in less than 20 seconds. |

| Zone 2 Attack. Most people focus on defending Alpha so Bravo is pretty much open like a girl on prom night. Once B is armed, defenders generally shift to it for disarm, leaving Alpha for the plunder. I've seen this technique work a few times.
Zone 3 Attack. If a squad member can sneak around to the back side of the base and hide out for a spawn point, it really disrupts the defenders battle flow. This disruption is usually enough to get the defenders all pissy about getting shot in the back and usually half the team starts watching the rear long enough to get people into the MComs. |
