Put down your Dualshock 3 Controllers, people! -Today, the PS3 and Playstation alike turn five years old! I'm not writing this because of my awesome new PS3 I got (), but rather because it is fairly big news. If you are a Zulu, Warlord, or a Predator you can confess -- hopefully -- about how much fun you've had on the PlayStation. It's had its fair share of ups and downs. This graphical image can do better to explain it more than I can. Enjoy!

I've been playing PS since it first came out in 94 Had my share of Xboxs, and only 2 PS3s. XBOX FTL hahahahahahhahha

Too bad PS1 came out only in 1995 for the US

Maybe we can start a FRIENDLY, and non-TROLLING console war here....some Xbox people would say 2 is a lot

If you had to have it, I guess, but, I probably would have waited until PS4 which is rumored to be released end of 2012. Probably same for XBX.

Anyhow, I've had my PS3 for 2 years now and I can honestly say I've used it most to play Blu-ray. Sure I played games here and there, but the updates seemed to take forever. The only thing I liked the PS3 over the XBX was that one, online is free, 2 it plays Blu-ray, and 3 it's more quiet than the XBX. Other than that, a game is a game is a game. beside exclusives of course.

PS1 came out in 2000, PS1 is the slim version basically of the PS. Whose to say I didn't have a Japan Import?

I bought my first PS3 in Canada when it first came out for 20GB. I Still have it but i bought a new slim one a few weeks ago. I Love PS3!

well i dont own one but i use my friend occasionally but now there are plunty of youngin gamers out there

I got my PS3 in 2009 November, still remember getting on MW2! Ahhh good time!

5 years already :O I should play it a bit more so many awesome games for that machine

I haven't even realized it has been 5 years since I got it. Back when I got it I was still a console gamer and didn't discover the beauty that was PC gaming until The Orange Box came out. I loved my PS3 and I still do for some of the excellent exclusives and the great Blu-Ray player.

Overall, I am a PC gamer at heart and rarely play my PS3 unless I play some F.3.A.R or PAYDAY. Maybe when I get Uncharted 3 I will go back to playing PS3 some more until I finish the singleplayer....
