Yeah I bet, at first anyway; like how everyone waiting for an aircraft before. But I think what might be worse is the onslaught of javelins and guided missles, soflam. etc etc.

It would be sweet if they have 3-4 jets, 2 apaches, 2 little birds and a couple of transports. Wonder what the ground-vehicle counts would be, like 4-8 tanks, apcs, hell maybe even 12 or more? I'm sure there will be a slew of jeeps and atvs to get around.

I'm not sure how this will work out with console unless they release a 32 player or more game mode. because 12 people on one team doesn't seem like enough for this big of maps.
It will probably be great for pc players though

Reminds me alot of Port Valdez, Nelson Bay and White Pass from BC2. Those and Oasis were hands down my favourite maps from then. I really hope they'll be similar. I do have a feeling that I might start hating the desert map; Atacama Desert never cut it for me in BC2.

Im sure the vehicle balance for most maps will be so no matter what, you'll find a set of wheels or wings somewhere. The one desert map seemed so fast an open it would be complete mayhem. But the snow map seems a lot harder for vehicle travel and would be a playground for engineers and their mines and rockets, waiting up on cliff sides or through the forests. Anyone have any idea what scale the actual largest map is?

To give some idea of size, DICE Designer Inge Jøran Holberg
Quote :
Bandar Desert is stretching as far as 1,900 meters from U.S. to Russian deployment, not counting the airstrip at the very end of the ground forces combat area. This is even longer than Fushe Pass from Battlefield 2. Bandar Desert is about as wide as it is long at the middle flags – it measures 1,900 meters from the mountain base furthest from the sea all the way to the beach at the south edge of the map.
As a comparison, Caspian Border is roughly 1,100 meters between the U.S. and Russian deployments — around 800 meters difference both in width and length. Should you count the distance between your spawned jet and the enemy spawned jet, you will end up with 2,400 meters on Bandar Desert. From the closest capturable flag to the furthest capturable flag, you are looking at around 1,200 meters. For Caspian Border, the equivalent distance is just about 400 meters.
And for consoles:

At the same time it should be scalable for consoles with fewer players without it leading to compromises for the 64 player version.
