In a somewhat shocking announcement, Robert Bowling has resigned from Activision as it's head Creative Strategist and as an employee.

No reasoning behind this has been given at this time.

MW3 has been riddled with cries of bugs, hacks, and cheats but was this the reason he stepped down? Is this a changing of the guard of COD now?

Article here.

Can't believe no one has an opinion on this considering how controversial COD has been in general, not to mention that many people blamed Bowling for most of MW3's shortcomings.

A reason will probally be given.

I am not affected by it. A game is a game, and it will always have its bugs, so meh.

Not sure if this changes Call of Duty, positively, or negatively. Robert Bowling, as Creative Strategist, really ruined the franchise, and depending on who they bring in, it might be able to compete with Battlefield, because honestly, at the moment, DICE has done a better job overall with the franchise.

Edited. Bear in mind our forum rules and regulations when it comes to using profanity.

In short, we don't tolerate it...ever.

hmmm.. Robert Bowling resigning means the chances of MW3 being competitive or supporting LAN is out the window. Sad

^ I'm not sure about that, Breeze. I don't think him being CS would impact whether or not those features are added.

I almost feel kind of sad. He's always been the face of IW since I started playing back on Call of Duty 4.
