| Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could help me out. I was thinking, I can run some of these higher-end games, for the most part, I just need better graphics. Onboard Video isn't cutting it for me. I have like a 2-3" thick case so I need a video card that can fit that. I stumbled across this:
EVGA GeForce 1GB 128-bit GDDR5
Any others?
Thanks Bronx |

| What model is the GeForce, that's just the type of brand Nvidia used for like 10+ years. |

| Sounds like you may need a low-profile card. Most of them are just over 2" while the full cards are just over 4" |

| I'm not an expert but I know that 220W isn't going to do it and in a case that small overheating/airflow might be an issue |

| Yeah :/ Well, is there anything video card that is better than the current onboard video I can get for it?
The current one I think is: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8200 graphics solution |

| Well... you COULD try overclocking your current one. If your interested, MSI Afterburner and MSI Kombuster (Overclocking utility and Stress Tester respectively), would do the job. Download here: QuackEdit: If you run DxDIag, you could know the exact model of your card. Just go to: Run > DxDiag.exe, and then the .txt document somewhere. |

| I don't think I have good enough cooling for an overclock on my video card But is there any 220W Vid Card I can get that is any better than my current onboard video? 8200 Geforce Nividia I think |

| I can't find one that would actually be an upgrade with less than 300 W But it might be very hard to look for a new power source with such an small computer... maybe a microATX? |

| The power supply might...might be attached to the case so I'm not sure if I could replace it. |

| I think you might be SOL with that 220. Wouldn't be able to upgrade the vid card without upgrading the power supply as most I came across requires at least 300w as NMD found. It might require you to take the whole thing apart but, you can take power supply out of there. It would have to come out for warranty repairs. Looking at some pics of your PC seems it has an IPX or SFX style power supply. I've seen some around. If you can't find one, then you could port the whole thing to another case, like this guy did...(looks like they're trying to do the same thing you are) http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/295972-28-want-upgrade-video-card-power-supply-acer-aspire-x1200#t2276366Or run a bigger power supply out the back, kind of won't look nice but hey! Then get, if you want to stay with Nvidia, an 8400 being the next best, to 9000's, 200's, 400's and the lastest 500's. |

| True, true; I guess the only real solution is to get a better computer lol. |
