Umm I have a question. My sisters computer has a mic. Ours do too. But hers doesn't work and it's a brand new computer. All of our computers are Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop.

I have 2 solutions, both for Vista. If you have XP, don't think about fixing it. If you have Vista, then, well,


1. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sounds > Sound > Record (its a tab) > and look at the Microphone. If it is disabled, enable it. If it is enabled or the enabling didn't work, move to solution 2.

2. Go to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program. Then look through and find the Driver for your microphone. Uninstall it. If you don't find it, that could be another problem. Download this Audio Driver and this WebCam driver onto her Computer. If it doesn't work, it will still highly benefit her performance. Still doesn't work? Go back into the Record tab in the Sound Panel like I said in the first solution. Either right click on the microphone and let Windows Update search for a Driver online or go into Properties and look for a Driver search.

PS. You are uninstalling the driver because people have just reinstalled the newest driver to make it work, its just a glitch. All they do is uninstall it and install the same one, and voila, it works. If it STILL doesn't work, ask me. If we can't seem to find the fix, best thing to do is return it. A working microphone is suppose to be included when you buy the computer. If not, its a scam. It should be working right at the start. But it's probably not, the mass of people get it to work at the start, like you. Evil glitches.

I'm thinking you mean the computer one and not the car. Targa is another way of saying a .TGA file.
What it does, its a file. It is a bitmap file format, which is used for storage of 24 bit and 32 bit truecolor images. Targa supports colormaps, alpha channel, gamma value, postage stamp image, textual information, and developer-definable data.

In other words, it is a VERY HIGH quality image file. It has high color bits, 32 bits to be exact. Fyi that is a measure of how many pixels are in a certain unit. These are mostly only used for game textures or just really high textured images. E.G. when I played TM Nations, the texture files were all .TGA. That explained why the images and textures were so high-quality in-game.

With your sig open, go to File and then Save for Web and Devices. Save it as a .jpeg file with max quality and save it. Then go to a hosting site like TinyPic and upload it. Get the HTML code and copy + paste in profile editor. (Make sure you don't paste the code for the thumbnail, because it will be small if you do.)

bronx, you need a 168-pin DIMM ram card. You only have 2 slots, both taken up. Just make sure you get one with more RAM than your current ones, 256 MB each. So get a 512 or even 1 GB if you're lucky. Keep in mind your comps max is 2 GB

You updated manually? That happened to a lot of people before. All you do is reinstall and then update PunkBuster to latest version again. That is what I did to stop getting kicked by servers by PunkBuster. Reply with the outcome.
