| Practice Report - BC2 1st Battalion 5/11/201 9pm - 2:30am
We had another great night of play and practice. The following members were with us at various points thru the night.
Play went from 9pm - 2:30am.
Axx Brano/Victuals Deecon/Native Bi Polar FatKungFu Camel Hallux CrazyBagaDonits TacticalJoTACO dtiger Ghostbeer (a soon to be recruit) Primalfury ok3yt0k3y (He has been away on military duty. It was great to see OK in the game) Helix Omega Gargoyle
Let me know if I missed anyone. A few members failed to respond to our invites.
We had much better command and control tonight. We can still do better, but it was a great improvement from our Sunday night performance.
We also had 5 guests playing with us who may soon become new recruits. They had mixed behavior, so they will need to be taken out behind the shed when they hit the squads. I believe they all appreciated the team work we demonstrated.
Axx.

| Aye I think axx and I can agree that the added focus to proper comms really showed in our efforts. Gratz to all that showed up.
Things we learned post patch: tracer/hellfire from apaches and havocs are very effective side strafing in apaches was NOT nerfed m60 still very effective as long as you stop moving tracers do fly faster the AA guns are much more effective on infantry, this should translate to the choppers as well
That is all, lemme know if I missed something.

| Game Play Comanches 5/12/2010 9pm-2:00am Axx Primal Ghetto Birchbeer + Brano Crazy It was good seeing you guys. We were really on a roll there. Among the many fine moments, the one worth repeating had to be the MCom kill with only 1 or 2 tickets remaining. It was a BH + C4 attack. Primal was pilot with Axx as the DemoMan. It was beautiful.

| not to mention the super clutch grenade kills Ghetto got after arming the mcom.
and i do believe that one of the highlights of the night was early on. with only me, ghetto, brano, birch, and a super friend (axx joined at the end, am i missing anyone?) on the defending team up against a full attacking team, we tried our best to defend Port Valdez. they were spanking us, breezing through each zone, and finally we found ourselves defending Bravo in the last zone. they sent EVERYTHING at us - snipers, mortars, tanks, stolen blackhawks, and zombie squads. we had a many many close calls, but in the end we found ourselves victorious, which kicked off the rest of the night's winning streak. the other team had 4 members from a clan, but i cant remember the tag. |

NOTES:
We had 16 squad members online total for our practice on Thursday. To my knowledge, that was our largest number of members online for a practice to this day. I want to thank all members who could attend! Several of our newest members were in attendance for practice and it was good to play along side of you. There also were a few difficulties on Thursday with being able to organize the large number of members online.
For those of you who were present in the beginning of Practice, I want to apologize for the delay in getting members organized into the same Party Chat and Game. Thursday I wasn't feeling well and not much of a voice left. The Squad Staff are working together to find a solution to improve organization during practices with large number of members
Below I will briefly discuss what difficulties we ran into and how we can improve:
When practice begins, Squad Members should check their XBL mailbox (if notifications are not turned on) and accept Party Chat invites from the Squad Leaders/Squad Assistants that send them. When we have more than 8 people online for Practice, not all members are going to be able to join the same Party Chat.
What I think we need to do in the future is have all attending Squad Members wait for the SL/SA to send out the invites (remain online XBL and at the game's main menu). Once the Party/Squad is full, have another SL/SA start a new Party Chat/Squad and pick up our remaining members.
Squad Members need to keep the talking on Party Chat/Squad Chat down to a minimum so you’re SL/SA or Fire Team Leader can discuss with the team what the game plan is. There was NO Jump School or Training Thursday since it was too difficult to organize the teams and get information out to everyone.
Since we don't know everyone's voice yet, we will now on use the Party Chat in-game like if it was a military radio in the field. The Party Chat line needs to be kept clear of non-essential conversations (General conversation while in the game lobby after Party Chat has been set-up or the SL is sending out game/party invites is fine...but listen up for your SL/SA). When you hear "Clear the line" that means all conversations should end.
Begin using "Break" followed by your XBL gamer name (use your abbreviated name your SL assigned you) next, state whom you are calling to. For example: "Break.....fun calling Axx", "Break.....fun calling Party".
This will greatly help the Squad Staff be able to set-up the practices. This will be used more for in-game communications. The exemption to this rule is when reporting emergency situations while in-game. When reporting: Enemy locations, Enemy travel direction, Number of enemies, reporting special tactics used (UAV +C4...etc.). Keep reporting short but detailed and clear the line for response.
The above is something the Squad Staff has been working on and will continue to refine. There will be information released soon concerning the details of what I stated above. We have been very good reporting situations in the past, but need some small refining due to our recent swell in numbers online.
Dtiger arrived for the practice after we got started and helped keep conversations down while in game. Having the lines of communication open greatly helped get our tactics organized and members to respond where needed. I thought we didn't do too bad trying to get as many members we could in the same game together.
It was a learning experience and challenge to gather the large number of Squad Members we had on Thursday. I spent a large majority of the practice in the Party and Squad invite menus trying to get everyone in-game and communicating. There will be a structured plan in place by Sunday's practice. I want to thank Dtiger for assisting me once he arrived in-game to help keep everyone on task and help keep the Party Chat line clear.
We are starting to become more organized, efficient and stronger in numbers. I recommend all members revisit the strategy posts along with the game map reviews. Also, let the Squad Leaders know if you find yourself online playing with other 13th MEU members and complete something note worthy about your fellow Squad Members actions in battle. We are happy to give out rewards for good deeds even if we are not present. But....we will need details of course. Thanks for hanging with me thru this novel.
See you on the Battlefield,
fun |

| I sincerely agree with Fun regarding communication procedures. It would be a great help to state your name before you speak so that we can get used to who is who. Also, getting organized did seem a bit hectic but we as a Division working on the best way to do that |

| 5/17 Practice/Play
We never had enough players at one time to start a practice, so we played rush. Members in attendance were:
Axx Bytehoven Primalfury97 Ghostbeer Gog27 Aldouss snow dtiger29 magnum flare A Bipolar Tree
We had a mixed night, because I think we only had a max of 4 [13] members at any point in time, and our smurf team was not the best.
Communications were buggy with members being dropped from party chat through out the night. This might be due to the pacth they just installed.
Tonight was new squad member (Jefferym09 - magnum flare ) 1st night. Good job. Feel free to ask any question regarding how things progressed.
See you all Thursday. |

| BUMP
I know I'm a thread necromancer but I think this thread is important.
It may be a good idea to post our practices in this thread that way it isn't segregated among squads and that all platforms/squads may glean information and strategies from one united practice report thread.

| Thanks Crazy...
At your suggestion, I have made this thread a sticky.
I agree Squad Leaders should make an effort to post their squad practice reports here so other squads may benefit from the comments posted. So, I have also posted a directive for Squad Leaders to file their practice reports here instead of within their squad threads.
Thanks

Tonight's practice was awesome in that we had one rush victory after another. Ruthless's knowledge proved to be very insightful as both a sneaky bastard and as a superior armor commander. Much of tonight's practice was pretty much getting the rust out of our moving parts and seeing how much coordination we had. In terms of organization, I'd say we were doing fine (I do admit to pushing up on a couple spawns). This was good stuff for our playdate coming up.
We had a bit of a time facing M1NxM4N, Strangemusic and Aldouss as they always insist in only killing and knifing us. Though it is expected, some thought their excessive teabagging was uncalled for and unsportsmanlike.
A few notes about the new White Pass rush map. I'll be setting up another thread about white pass with some detailed maps. However, there is one glaring thing that an experienced rush player should note, and that is after zone 1 has fallen, zones 2 & 3 fall much much easier. This is because Zones 2 & 3 have destructable buildings with the MCOMs in them. I hate to say it, but as a defender, should we lose zone 1, we lose the game (given the opposing team is aggressive enough).
On Laguna Presa, Ruthless08 showed dtiger, Axx, and I a very interesting spot to hide for spawning in Zone 3. Just behind the deep base guard tower, there is a densely vegetated spot for you and your "spawners" to spawn in. dtiger was able to get 4 consecutive knife kills in that area as he flanked our enemies.
In short, "domination over our pub games" barely describes how much ownage we put out tonight. The playdate is going to be perfect to show off our abilities as a collective whole! |

| I had a great time. Definitely some great tank tips learned from Ruthless.
MinMan also showed us a the way as defenders to get up on the ridge to the left of the B MCom house at base 2 Port Valdez. If you go to that edge of the map, with near the yellow warning signs, you will see the pipeline path that takes you up to the ridge. You can then make your way all the way around on the left to the 1st "construction" base.

| So guess I'll try out this whole Action Report jazz, then I'll head to bed.
August 19th, 2010:
Practice started off slow, starting with Bipolar and Davey playing some Hardcore Rush. I joined in not to far after. More and more guys started to trickle in.
As a whole, it seems like our team did better in Hardcore - voice communication was golden today. We grabbed the Gold Squad pin for countless games. The night slowed down when we switched over to Core matches.

What exactly is it that we do during practice? Practice/Play night on Sun, Tues & Thur Sometimes we start a private match to do pilot training, jump wings qualifying or any other practice type stuff. Many members get bored so we only do it long enough to get the practice work done. Otherwise, we all try to meet up in order to fill an entire team with [13] members. I believe this is what you have been observing lately. A new mission for these nights would be to help members get all of the Onslaught maps completed. Some of us have completed all (4) maps on hardcore and another difficulty level. Maybe we could focus on doing this Sunday night for any members who want to work on their Onslaught achievements. |

| Well, tonight (Sat 8/21) was interesting.
We were rolling so well all but one dropped from the other side. [FU] When we start a new game, we found ourselves matched against a pretty good team. But as we gave them trouble, they spawn camped us quite a bit. Frustrated by how many of our smurfs were reconing from the back of the map or goofing off, we began to drop out. Once we were down to a few [13] members, things were the worst. I believe Davey and I were the last, and he was still playing when I called it a night around 3:30am.
I don't know what was happening with party chat. I kept ending up in a chat room by myself. Because I was not paying attention to invite well enough, I missed some chance to hook up.
I was thinking... as defenders when we run an objective A squad and an objective B squad, each squad or maybe someone running in smurf mode, needs to have a safe line of sight at the MCOM. I'll call this guy our LS member. He needs to be our last line of defense when someone gets past the rest of us and intends to arm the MCOM. If either the A-LS or B-LS gets taken out, they need to call out so someone else can take temporary LS duty over the MCOM. All too often we are defending very well, start to push toward the enemy spawn, only to have someone sneak by and arm the objective. Unfortunately, the LS duty may be a little boring and not reward as many points. However, If we are to effectively defend the objectives a greater percentage of the time, I believe we need to keep at least one pair of eyeballs on the objective at all times. I recommend the LS run Engineer with Gustov and a solid weapon with 4x scope or Assault with 40mm + scoped AR. This way the LS can open a hole to the objective and clearly target any enemy arming. I don't think a recon bolt action sniper kit is a good idea because it's too easy to not kill the enemy due to reloads, plus he has no way to open a whole to the target from a safe distance.
Anyway... I enjoyed playing last night despite the frustration of our "post-reload" combat. |

| I wasn't able to make tonight's practice, but I did partake in a many whipping of enemy bums tonight. I'm not sure, but from when I jumped on to when I jumped off, I don't believe we lost any games.
Arica harbor is always a fun map considering being in a tank is one of my expertises... I like being the distraction knowing that I may be keeping half the team busy while friendlies are busy setting up shop in the objective. Its either they worry about the tank or the rest of the team, and that was the beauty of it all.
White pass is still not a favorite among the troops, but we still defend it beautifully.
Much of the time tonight, we were outnumbering the enemies, but a few games, we were outnumbered (where the enemy team was +2 or +3 in terms of manpower). But we were able to hold off.
I also was exploring many ways to take down MCOM stations from afar using only an AT4, and believe me, there are more unorthodox angles of blowing it up.
But in essence, tonight was a big old serving of whoop-arse, dished out none other than by the 13th MEU! |

| Yes... there is a way jump on the hill just to the left of the last base. It's not totally covered, but you can make it up very easily and then get over to the hind area before the countdown expires. |
