I woke up one morning and couldn't breathe properly. My chest was filling up with fluid because my heart was failing and doing 220 bpm. I got medevaced to hospital and spent five weeks in hospital, the first two in ICU/CCU and then the next three in a normal ward. I got out and now I'm six months into a 3 year rehabilitation programme. My calculated chances of surviving to the 12 months are 65%, my chances of getting to the end of the rehab programme are 55%.

i fell down stairs, from the 3th to the 1st floor when i was baby , but afortunatelly i was on a baby walker

One time when I was little, I slipped on a pool deck (stupid puddles), and landing straight on my tailbone. I had to be medivaced out of the area and into a hospital for 2 weeks. I broke a spinal bone, and had spinal compression. The doctors said I was very close to being paralyzed. I did have a sharp pain in my Achilles tendon whenever I moved it, but somehow it was soon fixed.

Anyways, isn't it weird how you remember major accidents so vividly, maybe its just me.

I think it's everyone Michael. Major people, events, places, etc that changed you greatly and made a big impact on your life are usually the ones that you remember so vividly.


@Souljah, That's one of the worst things I've ever heard happen to someone that's truly life threatening that's one of my friends. Just gotta see the glass half full (opposed to it half empty) but I'm sure you can get through that because it's been a couple years and you must've heard a lot of people encourage you too. Good luck in the rest of that rehab.

I guess mine would have to be a tie between two different things.

1) About 5 years ago I got a call while at work from my parents saying that my grandfather had died from a heart attack. I was pretty upset because I really felt that as I grew older, I didn't give as much attention to him as he deserved. This feeling pretty much goes towards all of my family but the man sacrificed so much.

I proceeded to punch the hell out of the wall in front of me in frustration, chipping the bone in my knuckle.

2) About 3 years ago while heading back to work on a lunch break, I was T-boned by a minivan on the driver side of my car which gave me whiplash. Luckily it was in the parking lot but that crash really shook me up, I now always flinch when I see a car coming from my left side.

This crash totaled out the value of my car so I was forced to finance a new car which has severely limited my cash flow ever since.

Wow. I couldn't imagine how I would react/deal with that situation. That's pretty bad.

Was playing around with a carpet cutter when i was 2-4 years old, it was those new ones that once you press the button the blade pops out in half a second, well i pressed the button and the knife pretty much went through my hand, had to go to the hosbital. but the weird thing was that my parents said they heard me giggling so they went to see what happen and saw a carpet cutter in my hand. was wierd, but after like 20 seconds i started crying like a B*****. but luckely i didnt mess up my hand completly, still sometimes have a few problems but its better than not being able to use my hand

I got shot.

2 days later I got hit by 2 155mm artillery rounds.

3 days I got hit by an rpg.

Still not the worst though...

4 days ago I stepped on a slug in my bare feet.....

WOW that is one hard question cause whole my life is bad on itself.

mmm it should be a tie against this ones.

1)i broke the same tooth 11 times now the back is all scattered the only reason why the teeth doesn't fall apart is cause i have probably one of the strongest teeth in the world ( i can bite trough glass as an example )

2) I came back from english languagecamp and i founded out that i could die cause all the poop in my intestines couldn't go out, if my poop would become to much, it would go to my stomach and i couldn't digest the food i would eat, so all the bad things in food would eventually kill me.

i spended 20 hours straight on the toilet to get it all out and dronk 15 liters of orange juice, since then i am quite an ornage juice addict.


3),i am already getting bullied for 10 year ( i am only 14 but it started when i was 4, i still remember that first horrible day ) last tme i was bullied was yesterday i guess, they we're laughing with me cause i play chess, they made stupid jokes and tought it was nesecary to tell the whole school.

4) when my 3 tries to commit suicide didn't worked out ( couldn't get any rope so i tried to hang myself up with towels but they breaked loose, tried to jump 2 times out of the window of a very high height, i landed 2 times in a goddamn bush ) I didn't had a single scratch, i guess god din't wanted it to be my time yet, but i would gladly rise to the heaven now if i could, playing on that golden huge computerscreen, with that endless fridge with drinks in and diamond chessfields to play on, if you only think how godly heaven their gameservers would be.

well that are the 4 worst things that happened to me, i have tons of more like these moments, but those are the 4 most memorable i guess.

ow and another bad thing is that i am a total puss, i have arachnophobia, the fear to fail and fear for tests ( 3 minutes before a test i completely freak out )

the only way to feel me free is to play games,i can be whoever i want in such ag game, i can be a soldier or just a friendly backup, people don't see how ugly i am in real life, so they can't bullie me for that, i just can't be touched you know and that feels good

It was April 1st 2006 I think. The phone rang and it was my daughters former boyfriend saying that he just drove past a super bad car wreak and he knows it was our daughters car that was smashed to bits! My heart sank and I thought "This is a April fools joke , right?" He was serious and My wife was in the shower and I rushed to tell her, and she didn't want to believe it either. But he had no reason to lie to us, so we started to call her phone and try to get a hold of her, Someone answered her phone and said there had been a crash and the medics were taking our daughter and her two friends to the hospital and to meet them their!
Sure enough the three of them had been in a near fatal crash in which she was hit head on by another driver and as she tried to avoid the van she turned and took the main blunt of the crash in the drivers door. She girl friend in the back seat was injured the worst and spent a month in a drug induce comma because of the pain she was in and the major head trauma she had. When the nurse first let me go in to the ER to see them, I almost collapsed! Here were two young girls and they were booth very near death and I might lose them, I will never ever forget that feeling of being powerless to do a dang thing except cry and pray that they live.
Our daughters boyfriend who she had never meet until that day. though they had been "together" on line as a couple, had only arrived in town 5 hours before and had only had time to drop his stuff at his hotel and grab some lunch and were headed over to our house to meet the parents!

I understand your reaction, if you have been trough the same as what i have been trough, you start thinking, i could explain my vision on life, but then i'd probably change you nice life's in a life full of questions and doubts and i don't want that and we would go off-topic.

My advice for you all, don't become what i became, just stay naive for as long as you can.

and a psychiatrist? ow yeah you mean those guys that thinks they know everything better as you and tries to convince you how wonderfull life is, but i know it isn't.

What I've had deal with was finding out that before I was born, my dad wanted to have an abortion for me, I was born a few weeks premature and almost died, I had to deal with my 6 year old brother having cancer while I was in second grade, I've tripped up multiple flights of stairs (thought I'd throw a fun one in there) I've watched one of my mom's boy friends physically abusing her, someone was stabbed in my house, I was taken into Child protective services last summer and forced to live with my evil step-grandmother, and on top of all that I've learned that my mom has been doing drugs since I was born.

Grando, one that kills oneself wont go to heaven, and also if you dont want to get bullied so much you should take a break from the PC for a year or two, it helps. when i was in 7th grade i wanted to comit suicide and almost did but after i realized how stupid i have been, i found out how to grow up and take things seriously. Now i have Tons more freinds im not failing school anymore and im happy. (( Not saying you do)) but i dont go around saying how much fun i had on the PC last weekend, people would think in a nerd or whatever and start makeing fun of you and S*** like that.

Also i play chess.

I think people are replying to this in a completely wrong way. Lemme tell you somethin from personal experience.

8th grade, Life to me was S***. No point, wasn't happy, couldn't be happy, even when good stuff was happening and i wanted to be happy. So i started trying to fit in with people like that. I chose a stereotype and went "emo". Now anyone who knows anything will know that 1) emo is more a genre of music (not to be mistaken for screamo) than a life style and 2) that so called "emo" kids were first called that because they were over emotional, not because they were depressed. They could be overly happy, overly angry, and of course, overly sad. Now when i started hanging with people who thought they were emo kids i saw them cut a lot. This being a stereotype, only posers cut themselves to look cool. So i started doing that. At first it helped, inflict pain the brain releases endorphins giving a numbish feeling. But later on i saw what i was doing and wanted to stop....i couldn't. My body had become so adapted to the release of endorphins that if i didn't cut i'd go into withdrawals like an addict quitting drugs cold turkey. It was bad. So between that and my emotions running wild due to early teenage hormones, i started attempting suicide. Now behind those reasons their were other reasons i won't go into. But what happened was i tried 3 or 4 times, and failed. Finally i just said F*** it. I started looking on the brightside of things, talked to my school counselor (no way in hell was i goin to a damn therapist) and she helped a lot. So about october of last year i finally went and saw a doctor about getting me on medication (anti-depressants) since then things have been a lot better. Do i regret what happened to me and what i did. No, F*** no. Do i recommend what i did? see answer to first question (incase you don't feel like going back F*** NO!) do i think talking to someone could help you if you wanted help? yeah definitely. The problem with society these days is we treat people like you or me as if they were crazy, or inward thinking. However if every person on earth could experience the dark, empty feeling i went through for about 3 years of my life (6th-9th grade) they'd understand, it wasn't whether or not i fealt blessed or wanted to be happy, its that try as i might, i just couldn't. Quite likely, you'll grow out of this, or you'll do like me and talk to a doctor. We've all got our problems, you just gotta get through them the right way.

Btw if you ever need someone to talk to, i'm like my schools counseler person. Everyone tells me i should be a therapist for some reason...i dont think so, but if you need someone to talk to i'm here. that goes for anybody.

Junior, though I've never attempted sucide myself, something that I think about whenever it seems my world around me is going to hell, is that no matter how bad things get, they will eventually get better one way or another.

It isnt easy to commit suicide, apparently when you're hanging to a rope your brain keeps sending signals and you will try to get back on that chair where you jumped of, cause it hurts extremely much. And i would l like get more along with people but whatever i try, they don't understand me. i tought i was crazy a few days but hell yesterday ( my dad is a doctor ) my dad had a patient and she is crazy!!!!!!!!!! i just can't describe it, she asked to my dad to put her to sleep ( like they do that with dogs when they're old and they horribly much pain and they're waiting for their end ) like a billion freaking times, she called us like 50 times a day about it. she got granted permission of the council 2 times. But the first time she wanted it in the afternoon and not in the morning ( what does she wants to d in that morning then? get a haircut 3 hours before you die??? )

the second time she got scared and didn't showed up. eventually they have locked her down in such gekkenhuizen like you call it in dutch.
