| I've just recently gotten my plat for my beautiful Made in China gun. After using it for so long, I wonder what weapon shall be next? I've started using the M249 to great effect, already getting 60+ kills in a couple of hours. So I was wondering what you BC2 guys recommend. Mainly you medic guys, and just to let you know, I wont go with the M60, just too damn common and annoying. I'm figuring on staying with the medic, as you HAVE to be a team player, which helps me and my team. So fire away. |

I'm in the same situation, myself. T88 and the M249 SAW are my favourites, but I've got platinum on both already. I've been kinda alternating between the PKM (Very similar to the T88, I find) and the MG36 (It's terrible). I can't see myself using the M60 unless I'm desperate for kills, so I'm probably gonna finalize on the PKM. I suggest rolling with the M249, as it's quite similar to the T88 in firing rate and damage as well as keeping the 200 Round magazine. |

Already moving my way towards Gold#2. It is pretty similar even in handling and stats to my China gun. I am going to miss that beautiful 200 rounds of pure death, when the time comes to change again. Carl Gustav, haha, that made me laugh as I'm not a noob. |

| Hey Gog, what do you put on your weapons and what specializations?
I've found the M249 with 4X and Magnum Ammo works really well for me, even though I'm used to using the RDS with the T88. Probably finish the night with my second gold for it. Only 25 away as of now. |

I uhh... I play the "Medic" class to heal, not get kills... I don't see why you want to put a damage increase and an aim assist on the "MEDIC" class, but I use the Medkit H+ and the Medkit R+ and all my LMG's function perfectly fine. If you have to rely more on yourself as a Medic to kill the enemy, than your squad-mates, they're doing it wrong. That's actually why I joined the 13th, to have teammates that complimented my more supportive play-style, and it works great. Honestly, I would suggest doing what I did to get out of the front-line infantry mindset and use a SPAZ-12/MP443-Grach combo with both healing upgrades. You really learn to rely on your teammates. /elitistmedic |

/elitistmedic Guess I've just got used to the Assault Medic role. Heal and kill. That and I play as a commander/squad leader, so I'm more of a frontline guy than ya. The most PC guys I have on at a time rarely exceeds 4. So I have to learn to survive rather than just heal. But yeah the M249 is pretty nice. |

Ghost... I run the M60 4x/magnum combo. I understand what Gog is saying, but I feel my set up makes me a bit more effective at killing in addition to performing medic duties. Now maybe I could be doing a better job as a "pure medic", but I still drop boxes, revive and target enemy at longer distances. Now some might say, I'd be better off playing assault or another class the way I am playing medic. However, I find being able to retreat and heal to be about as effective as anything the other classes might offer. I wondered if a near by medic box with R+ H+ options allow someone on a MG/AT4/VAS to last a little longer or be harder to kill? I assume no. But if it did, there are a number of maps I would run with the GOG/Medic set up to better support players on stationary weapons systems. |

Kinda irritated me a couple times when during a practice Dtiger would just go "Gog, you lead X-Ray!". I mean, leading is pretty difficult from the support medic role, as in order to know what was going on I needed to either: A.) Pop out and put myself in unnecessary danger, as well as lead and such. Bit of a hassle. or... B.) Ask the team about EVERYTHING and then get barked at for "Cluttering the comms.". Either way, if you like being a medic but are forced into a leader situation, I can completely understand that load-out, as long as you're not using the M60 . - Bytehoven wrote:

I had about a paragraph of words here responding to you, but then I realized it was pointless as it wouldn't actually change anything, and the last time I disagreed with you I got pissed off and didn't come back to the 13th forums for 2 weeks. So, have fun with your kit . |

| I am really close to hitting Platinum with my M60 and the medic kit tends to be my favorite. You should give it a try, the accuracy makes up for its slight recoil. Pumping the trigger rather holding it down makes the M60 a deadly accurate gun with noticeably far range if you can aim it correctly.
I assume once my M60 is Platinum I will be going after the PKM for Platinum within the medic kit, as it's another one of my favorite medic guns. |

| PMK & M249 are at the top of my alternate list. MG36 is also good. XM8 LMG is also not bad. I have been playing these for bronze stars and so far the MG3 is the worst. |

I've never been a fan of the MG3 myself to be honest. I know quite a lot of good medics who will argue with me that the MG3's fire rate makes up for its poor damage but I disagree. Accuracy and Damage is key to me when choosing a gun in any kit because I don't spray and pray, I actually have a good enough shot to make sure I don't miss so I don't need to hold down the trigger and waste ammunition. That is why I choose Accuracy and Damage Vs. anything to do with Fire Rate. Anyway a medic is meant for healing not killing, however if the rest of your squad drops and they're counting on you to stay alive you better be using a weapon that you know how to handle before the enemies get close enough for you to see what weapons they're handling (lol). I play on max sensitivity and role with the M60 because it's the weapon of my choice when things get rough, I tend to be more comfortable with it then any other medic weapon. |

JUst give them another chance I agree... although I really like the UMP45, the others are also good. You just have to find their groove. It can take some time to get them figured out, particularly their effective range or sweet spot. It's good to know the PP2k needs to be used closer in. I'll be working on that gun soon. |

| I usually like the mg36.. I add the magnum ammo to compensate for its slightly weaker damage. But I love the scope and the accuracy it has.
But try to get platinum stars in handguns. that would be quite a feat. |

If you're going for long range kills then there is no use in trying any of the engineer guns as they're meant for close quarter combat. You can shoulder and maneuver the sub machine guns (engineer guns) quicker then many other guns which is a very handy trait to take into consideration. I dislike the engineer guns if I am watching any long-ranged distance, however if I'm directly defending an Mcomm-station so to say I'll use the engineer kit because the guns are deadly if you're in close quarters. |
