This strategy is useful on all attacking maps where you would use smoke. I found it helpful to smoke out the engineers and stationary mg's that try and take out our choppers or tanks. I found this helpful from the building behind alpha in zone 1 valparaiso, because i didn't want to completely give my position away (acting as spawn location) but could still alter the tangos behavior. Just a thought.

UAV + Smoke would be great from this.

Has anyone ever thought to mine the beachheads to see if they would detonate when Charlie runs their boats ashore. This could be useful on laguna presa and isla for containing the enemy advancements, force them to bail (once they know it's mined) in the water making it easier for us to shoot them and impossible for them to shoot back.

I have on laguna presa + yes, it pwns.

Mines and C4 both work in the water. Although mines are easier to set & forget.

10-4 mines work well on beaches, in fact, underwater is the best place for mines because they cannot be seen. Look for choke points on beaches or covered positions where enemies will be tempted to land their craft.

I've come to believe that having one or 2 guys mining clutch for defense on zones 1, 2, and 3 in Laguna.

Zone 1: The left by the docks, the right by that big rock, center in front of the shielded MG (just right of it).

Zone 2: In the river, on the far left road (that leads to the shack) and on the crest of the big hill on the right.

Zone 3: All over the river, on the bridge and (if possible) on the enemy's side of the broken bridge.

Also, hell yes to smoking turrets, though rocketing them is better (;

eh, I mentioned smoking them to prevent your location being discovered either by killing the enemy or rocket trail. If you manage to get in clandestine behind the enemy borders I'd rather act as a forward spawn point for my squad and occasionally smoke what enemys I can that threaten the helos or tanks than kill them.
