When you're in a position to cover an MCom as a defender from medium distance, what would you pick?
For instance, covering the Isla Incentes Base 1 A MCom from the left roadside just above the bridge?

I have been playing the M60+ACOG+Magnum Ammo. It's a great setup, but is there something that can take the mid range kill power to the next level?

Tonight I accidently picked up tan enemies AN-94 + RDS and it was awesome. Not sure if it also had the Magnum or Training SPEC, but ti was real solid. I had previously tried the rifle for a brief period, but without much love.

Anyway, I thought some comments regarding primary weapons would a good discussion to have.

Assault: AN mid to long range, M16 for close.
Medic: M60 always, 4x for countersnipe, dot for close to mid.
Engineer: UMP always
Recon: VSS closish, SVU mid, 95 long.

Also, somwhere on here some genius started talk of the AN getting a steroid shot with the new re-balance, which may elevate it to undisputed best assault gun (I thought it was before)

That's my feelings.

PC players have reported the AN94 received a boost with higher long range damage and an extension of it's max damage distance.

Personally I reckon the M249 is the best LMG for short to mid range combat. It is accurate, has the least recoil, high ROF and a 200 mag ammo capacity.

I don't know why but I forgot about it for a while once I unlocked the M60, no longer.
