Alrighty, I'm making squad patches for any MEU squads that want them and for some that don't. I've decided to try to centralize this onto one forum as it's getting spread out. The template can be found here. Here's the ones we have so far:









Any suggestions, requests or jibes at how cheap my time is are welcome.

Also, I'm thinking that it'd be cool to be able to put mutch smaller squad patches next to our rank patch. (instead of on our sig, say) Kind of like the Airborn patch I've seen on some folks posts. Can that be done and should it?

Adobe Photoshop, the mother of pic editing. There's better out there for txt and so on, but for editing little pics online, pshop is the best.

It's worth mentioning that I'm not making any of these (except for the marauders one) from scratch. I'm pulling little pics off google and simplifying them into graphics and BAifying them. The art work should be copyright protection free since it's changed 75% (except for hunters and.... hmmm....the deathdealers guy could make a case) but they wont be used to make money regarless....sssoooo.... yeah.

Nice job mate but you are going to add it to your sig there's a simple process on Photoshop. You can just open it with Photoshop and then change the Image size and import it into your sig

P.S. What about the Falcons?

Would be cool if you could make a 13th MEU Patch, For the entire clan

right, of course, what I mean to ask is "what about getting them on the thingy beside our post above our profile pic?" In sort of an official looking spot I mean, so all squad members could have one without having to change/update their sigs. I can resize them any time, there's just little reason to yet.

I don't know about a cooler patch for the 13th, I kind of like that it's official looking.
Traditionaly (I think) individual companies and such will have custom badass stuff... but colors'll get simpler and more official looking the higher up you go.
For example:
here's a patch for the 310th Fighter Squadron
and for the Airforce:

Anyways, that's why I like it the way it is and would be hesitant to change it too hastily.
The rest of the banner on the other hand. That I could go to work on.

also, you say "hell yeah" to the idea of patches on the side. good. What I'm thinking is that they could pop up (by some magical html process that I don't understand) when recruits get assigned to squads.

OR

A more controversial and difficult angle:
Squad leaders could apply to have them added once they've proven themselves within the squad (like earning a letter on a sports team)

Right now officers/squad staff (Not sure which ) can take away and add jump wings and pilot wings for ranks below them.
This could be used as the same system as the jump wings

I went to my profile and found the place (I think) they'd need to be added on my character sheet. I'm a Corporal and I can't change mine. Anyways, anyone else want these on everyone's character sheets? Who could do it?.... they'd look like this:


What we'd need to do it:
A list of who'se in which squad
Somone with the ability to edit character sheets to donate a hot minute (by which I mean an hour)
