Just missed my one year anniversary here. I have to say, it's definitely one of the best camaraderies I've ever been in.
I started playing multiplayer online games a little over a year ago. When I first started, I was looking around for some clans and it was a tough decision between the 13th and Seal Team 6. I eventually joined the 13th after playing with a few of the guys and joining the TS. Bronx definitely helped tip the balance too.
When I joined, I was first assigned to the Marauders (still one at heart) and went through the orientation with Ranger as my CO. I had a lot of fun doing practices and scrimmages and met some great people (online) in my squad. I definitely tried to help out as much as possible and I know if I ever asked a favor from any of them, they would have done the same. One of my favorite memories was when the Myanmar map came out and our whole squad was role playing a giant Rambo movie. Just cracked me up. Shady, Willdill, Edster, Deathmaster, and even Goldfusion definitely made my stay with the Marauders a very fun experience. Eventually, my laptop was completely shot to S*** so I went on a hiatus from the squad but tried to remain active constantly on the forums. Bronx was extremely understanding and helped me out in staying with the clan, even on a little vacation.
I rebooted with the Seminoles a few months ago when I got an Xbox and Battlefield. I joined the Seminoles and despite never having played a console game in my life, picked up Battlefield and was helped out by my squad mates in the adjustment. Applesaus helped introduce me to the rest of the squad and they all welcomed me with open arms, but this is something that is extremely characteristic of the clan in general. Within the last few months, I have been able to help out with the Seminoles and am really enjoying my time with them.
I don't think I could have picked a better clan to join so here's to many more years with the Fighting 13th. Hoo-ah.
