| I need help from someone that works on/knows a lot about gaming laptops. My laptop for some reason has started to be weird while playing heavy games. It all started today, where id be playing a game at 50-60 FPS (BF3 PS2 MOH:WF) and it would suddenly drop, as if it switched graphics from my NVidia card to my integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics. I've cleaned my registry, defragged and run security scans, being they have helped run games faster in the past, but nothing is helping. I'm thinking about recovering my OS, but I'd like to avoid that. Has anyone else had this problem or know what to do? |

| A couple of things I would suggest are:
-Make sure Graphics card software is up to date -Do a boot-up defrag as this is more thorough -Make sure the HDD isn't full -Have you downloaded anything recently? Check it, uninstall it and test your games -Virus scan
That is all I can think of at the moment to possibly help. Hope something works. |

| Have you disabled the integrated graphics completely? |

| The laptop is suppose to automatically disable integrated graphics when a dedicated video card is detected, but there's probably some kind of conflict between them while you're playing. It might be a problem with drivers or something is wrong with the chipset. To disable the integrated graphics, you'll have to go into the BIOS at startup and do it from there. Have you used the BIOS before? |

| Wait, I just remembered an easier way: Device Manager. Just open that up and find the integrated graphics in the "Display Adapters" section, then right click and disable. If it doesn't work, you might have to use BIOS, but I'm pretty sure that will do the trick. |

| lolwut. Did the graphics card come with the laptop, or did you install it? Did BF3 say it couldn't find a suitable display driver? And could you put up either 1) a screenshot of the "display" tab of your DxDiag window or 2) a saved .txt file of your DxDiag? You can open it up by going into Run and typing "dxdiag"

| Newest drivers, avoid beta, submit problem to NVIDIA, and I know problem is solved but you can disable integrated in BIOS and you shouldn't have a problem. Switch to desktop when you get the coin though m8. |

| Will, what you gotta do is save up 500 dollars. Get yourself a cooler master elite 430. Get yourself a corsair CX500. Get yourself a asus p8z77-V LX, get yourself a core i3 2120, and get yourself a GTX 660. Get yourself 16 gigs of 1333MHZ Corsair XMS3. That should add up to 500-800 dollars. Very good build there, all quality components.Make sure you also read up on Computer airflow and get your fans mounted the way you want. Very simple, and there are many videos on how to do these things. Custom builds are simple. |
