| mmkay so my desktop Pc have been giving me problems lately...
The Story:
Started a few months ago, Turns on pc and it starts loading but when i gets to the point it should start loading windows the pc restarts, after a few restarts it finally gets to windiows and everythings working fine, after being like that for a week it wont get to windows anymore just keeps restarting, i thought the prob would be HDD, so i used program called MiniPe2005 to fix broken sectors on HDD, it didnt work.
I took a HDD from a old computer and tried that one but without any results, managed to format it and install new windows but after a few restarts it started acting up again...
Next thing i thought of was the RAM , bought new ram for my pc but still got the same problem..
So where the hell could the problem be now ? motherboard giving up on me ?
Heres the PC specs:
AMD690VM-FMH AMD Phenom Quad Core Radeon HD 3850 4Gb Kingston Ram |

| I had this problem where my PC would keep restarting. It turned out it was some faulty RAM that I added. I don't know what it could be though. |

| Most times this kind of problems are created by HDD problems. Instead of buying new ram, you can always try with changing the ram from one slot to another. What kind of windows are you using? Is it a Dell pc? I do have quite some knowledge on Dell related hardware..

| Is the system fine in safe mode? If yes, you may have a software/driver issue. If not, could be Windows and needs a repair or corruption on the HD itself. Since the other HD worked and errors was found with that software you ran, I'm thinking corrupted HD. |

| It's hard to say exactly what the problem... anything damaged or badly installed can cause that.
I'd start with a very standard procedure: Remove everything from the computer—mouse, keyboard, etc.—except monitor, and try to see if the computer starts; if it does, start connecting one by one until you find the problematic one.
Another good question to ask thought: have you installed any new hardware in the last couple of months? If thats correct, double check those.
If none of this works, and you have already ruled out the HDD, then you might have to test each hardware component one by one, which is much easier if you just take it to a qualified tech. And yes, it could be the motherboard, but you might save yourself some money if you're sure.
Good luck!

| Well, PSU and RAM are the most likely. Try all of your RAM sticks except for 1, and trying to boot. Keep doing this until you've tested all the RAM. If one fails, its a memory problem. Or your PSU might be dying of age. |
