The British made good progress and civilians are mostly friendly towards NATO ISAF forces. 3. Own Main Effort: Our section is to conduct a raid on the Taliban drug factory, objective Turtle. CAS is on station, but due to the proximity to Sangin North, Warlord 1 won't be able to destroy the facility until the compound is cleared and the target is marked with red smoke. The Apaches have been called to support 2 LANCS in Helmand Province, 29 Commando regiment have been tasked to assist us with artillery support. | hey death, just a quick question. I don't know how much we'll emphasize on this IED thing but there's no engineer/EOD member in our squad to deal with those, how will we handle IEDs? |

| I was just wondering that. IEDs only exlode when more than 2 people are within 15m of it.
How can I enable certain units to disarm it? |

| okay I've turned on ACE medical system in some of my own missions playing as medic and not as medic, here's what I've found out. - people can bandage light wounds themselves - higher intensity wounds need to be bandaged by somebody else, but this doesn't necesarily need to be a medic. - a medic can give a shot of epinephrine if a soldier has passed out due to bloodloss, doing this while the wounds are still untreated is quite dumb ofcourse. Real life side effects of epinephrine that I know of, like tachycardia ((excesively) high heart rate) and tremor that could have bad influence on combat capability do not seem to occur. untreated unconsiousness combined with bleeding will result in death. - a medic can also administer a shot of morphine, this will reduce the pain and thus reduce the soldiers moaning, it also seems to improve his aiming capacity. side effects like dizyness, sleepiness and lack of situational awareness do not occur here either. - a medic can then use a medkit on the soldier to patch him up to best of his ability, this takes time, and is reduced in effectiveness everytime it is applied. there is only so much patching up you can do to a human body. Even when fully treated the health will not be the same as when the game was started. -a MASH tent or a vehicle marked "ambulance" can be used to heal a soldier back to full health. To do so, simply get close enough and bring a friend ( doesn't have to be medic ) then have the friendly select heal mission makers notes: - in the modules section ( F7 ) you can actually dictate wich soldiers can use what medical supplies. from the point that you need a medic to do anything but bandaging. to the point where you do not need a medic at all and give all the treatment yourself or other soldiers. You can also dictate if the medkit actually heals to full health or not. making the ambulance vehicle redundant. In real life, plasma is being used to treat critical loss of blood and spalks are being used to treat broken/injured limbs. I have never had to need to use either though, I did some looking around on the forums and only found things like "Those items are unused and do nothing. " be aware that most of such posts are old, and things may have changed. but so far I didn't had a need for them, you can cut down the numbers of plasma's and spalks for other medical equipment like bandages, epi/morph and/or medkits, or combat supplies. |
