| Image by: Trister For the majority of us, Summer has come and gone and skool school has begun, with burying our heads in books, listening to lectures until our ears bleed, and those darn exams. For the rest, winter is beginning and work just continues to be... well, work! All in all, it seems the past 3 months was fun but kind of quiet. Recruits
Welcome to all the new recruits. In the past 3 months, 260 registered on the site, 145 applied, and 80 became members. This is just around half of the 3 months prior and the same 3 months of last year. Maybe there was less interest in joining a clan, less activity in the games we support or gaming in general, the loss of our 13thmeu.net name, less recruiting efforts, or a number of other reasons.
Every member has the power and is encouraged to recruit and doing so will bring in more members to play along with and give us more opportunity to do a lot more things. Be sure to check your recruiting ads in your respective Divisions BF3 | MW3 | P4F or scour the forums for players looking and reach out to them in forums, in game, or wherever they can be found.
| Upcoming Games
There was some games the 13th was considering to take on. Games like Ghost Recon, both Future Soldier and Online and Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. There was some decent chatter about them in the forums but, seemed to take a nose dive once they came out and not enough members interested to support them. So, another one bites the dust, well two actually.
The next wave of games to consider are Medal of Honor:Warfighter (Oct 23) and PlanetSide2 (TBA). There has been a lot of forum chatter on both these games but, will we have enough interested members to support them? Other possible considerations of this year are Halo4 (Nov 6), FarCry3 (Dec 4), Dust514 (TBA), and ArmA3 (TBA). So make some noise about games you'd like to see supported and are interested in playing. | InterviewFrom: LCpl. Beans5435, a SM of the CoD/3rd/Baracudas Unit, who joined on July '12. Q: What were 1 or 2 things that drew you to the 13th?A: I remembered playing with twistedevilwill and he would always talk about the 13th and how great it was and from his game play I could see that something was different the way he played the game. I was talking to him one day about what was going on and he asked me a few questions about what I wanted as far as where did I want my gameplay to be and stuff like that and he was the one that turned me to the 13th. Q: What do you think of the 13th now that you’ve been in it and was it what you expected, if not what did you expect?A: No it wasn't what I expected it is more than what I expected with the dedication of the people in the squad and being able to play with other squads and it still feels like you are welcome even if you are not apart of that squad. Q: Where would you like to see the 13th go or become?A: I would like to see either A: More squads for MW3 for the Xbox and B: Having more training classes for MW3 Q: A war breaks out in your hometown, you would...?A: If war breaks out here I would go into a Zombie Apocalypse mode and raid the gas station for food and water and I would hold up in my house. Now when supplies starts running low I believe that I would go into a recon sniper mode and sneak around mostly at night to get what I needed in and out with no sound. Q: If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?A: That is a good question I think it would be "The ends and outs of everyday life By: 2nd Lt. Sryan of the BF/1st Unit We want to thank our members, Quackz and TheSillyPig, for adding two new BF3PC European Servers to the 13th's arsenal. One is a 64 player server that will mainly rotate through Armored Kill maps. The other one is a 32 player server that will mainly rotate through city maps like Seine, Metro, Bazaar and Noshar in Rush Mode. We're proud to report that we managed to fill up the servers almost every night! By: LCpl. Ghost4-6 of the BF/2nd Unit Recruiting for the North American squad has definitely slowed down, however the Zulus recently welcomed two new squad members. C_KiLaSpEeD_G also said that there have not been any events recently, however there are a few ideas. Also the squad went through a period of inactivity during the summer, and school is also affecting attendance for the Zulus. Even from the few practices I have been to, there are definitely fewer players on than last year. |

| Excellent job!
Beans I have a question: Why would you call your book "The ends and outs of everyday life"? It has an interesting catch, just wondering. |
