| Image by: Trister What’s up 13th?Written by: SSGT TristerBringing you another update on what’s going on within the 13th community. Activity seems to be on everyone’s minds and why should it not. The 13th thrives on activity, without it, I’m sure you know the outcome of the clan. Mega Max546, SA of the Predators, has reported having their best attended practices 3 weeks ago with 13 members being online. The Battlefield Division had a similar occurrence this past weekend with 23 members online from a number of Platoons. Some members were actually left out in the cold due to reaching the max TeamSpeak slots. Therefore, TeamSpeak slots have been increased. While Projekt3000, CO of Easy Co., Endrane SO, and Splintercellz SL of the Baracudas, reported activity with their Platoons or Division has increased, Vanhoucke, CO of Foxtrot Co., TotalWarrior SA of the Warlords, and Mega Max546 feel differently. P4F - Squad huddle going over tatics Applications coming in still have been more of XBL, PS3, and yet still only a small few of PC recruits, shares Projekt3000. All members, especially those of CoC, should be looking for ways to increase recruiting levels. If our name isn’t out there, who would know of us but by word of mouth? There are a number; I mean a slew of forums out there with recruiting posts for potential recruits to find. These need to be bumped every so often, some more than others, to be displayed on the first page for maxium exposure. Very few players will dig pages deep to find a clan to join. So if you feel your Platoon is rather small or inactive, help your platoon and the 13th by visiting the forums and bumping it up. Not just by writing bump, but maybe share your experience as a 13th member or a sweet scrim you just had, enticing them to view the site, give them something to be interested in and so to not seem as a bot. The recruitment posts can be viewed in your own Division, usually as a sticky and titled Division Recruitment. Or pehaps find other venues or ideas to advertise and spread the word.
On a personal level, Vanhoucke has been experiencing trouble with his laptop, even just playing P4F for 5 minutes. So, he has ordered a new gaming rig. Little did he know that the parts he ordered had to be hand built, piece by piece, and that the expected shipping date would be in the year of 2015. Upon the news, he had changed out some parts and now will be receiving his new rig in 2013. Hope you get it soon! In all seriousness he should be getting it this week and has some thoughts of throwing an online party, to celebrate, when he gets it up in running. Speaking of seriousness, HartAttackKidd (the homewrecker lol) has been doing her best keeping up with the Platoon and the 13th while coming down with “pneumonia, bronchitis, and 2 horrible colds at the same time", says HartArrackKidd. As if that wasn’t enough, HartAttackKidd is also trying to fix her shoulder that may require surgery. I personally would like to commemorate HartAttackKidd on efforts put forth, under the circumstances, in keeping up with the Platoon. P4F - Is the sunset or the blackhawk going down that makes this shot nice? There are some tournaments going around in the 13th, such as Alienware for Battlefield PC for NA, and a Call of Duty PS3 Tournament coming next month. Don’t forget Virgins/EA $1.6million tournament for the XBX and PS3 starting sometime in the beginning of 2012. If you are interested in joining these tournaments, please speak with your SL/SA, or PL/PS. May the best of luck to those who participate and make the 13th proud. Even if it’s just to get our name out there.
Speaking of thanks and praise, please welcome Unlit Assassin back into the Predators, hope your vacation was relaxing and we all knew you couldn’t keep away for long. Splintercellz thanks Blacklotus87 for his activity on the forums and XBX. Totalwarrior congratulates Mekline on becoming the new Platoon Sergeant. Endrane is hitting up finals soon. Projekt3000 “thanks 13th MEU as a whole for the support over the time I’ve spent here.” He goes on to say “I couldn’t have gotten this far without members taking notice and responding positively towards what I’ve attributed to the clan” in regards to his new promotion as Captain and CO of Easy Company. P4F - I'm a goofy gooober yeaaaah
