Regarding Party Chat Empty
PostSubject: Regarding Party Chat   Regarding Party Chat EmptyWed Dec 01, 2010 6:31 pm

I'm proposing that we ditch party chat in favor of 3 squad chats.

why?

1. in party chat, its impossible to clear the channel to speak.

2. when the channel actually IS clear, the entire team responds to the threat that has been identified over the comms, resulting in an unbalanced team position on the map.

3. squads will be more efficient with a specific goal in mind.

4. less yelling by Dtiger Razz

but really, I'm serious about this. thoughts?

I definitely agree with this point when we have a lot of people online. Good squad tactics will win rounds if they play with each other well, as opposed to loud, mildly unorganized parties. If everyone understands our tactics for each map, dropping into game chat would probably get us more wins and help us play more tactically, especially on the offence where we need it post-patch.

I think you confuse yelling with commanding.

I also feel that we need to review the communications guidelines set out. For the past several months we have not needed to really apply them since the party chat was not full and all. However we really should start breaking down into the FT again with each responsible for a particular set of objectives. We really should revisit the CO/XO of comms to help facilitate the clear communication.

Especially post-patch, communication will be really key.
