You wanted release dates for VIP Map Pack 7 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam? Why didn't you just say so?

No, seriously -- VIP Map Pack 7 goes live tomorrow! This is your chance to relive the awesomeness of fan favorite map Oasis, plus three more maps never before available in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer. For a complete rundown of everything VIP Map Pack 7, here are some posts we prepared earlier.

Also: December 21. Save the date. That is when Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam will launch (December 22 for PS3 in Europe). If you prefer your battlefielding on PC, you can get a three day headstart on EA Store and Steam, where it will be available on December 18. Need a reminder on why you should be excited? Here's our latest trailer. It has flame-throwers.

So. Who's on for some serious VIP 7 multiplayer action tomorrow?

Note that in order to play VIP Map Pack 7, you need to update your game with Multiplayer Update 3. This update should be pretty automatic and straight-forward, but if you want more info on it, head to this blog post. For more info on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, visit the Official Site.

hmmm, kinda. just a patch. just changes to me. but, with the nerf of the c4 and all that, yeah, attacking is going to be rough.

i'm not sure i'm going to make it on tonight at all. i WILL definitely turn on my xbox and try and grab the patch while i do stuff.

The patch took me about 25 min to download on my 15mb/s Fios account.

Not too bad.

m14 with 4xwith c4 is my new favorite kit now =) man new patch is awesome ....helos are killer now

Hooray for new maps!! I thoroughly enjoy BC2 but I have felt since I started playing that the one weakness it had was map selection. There are only 8 maps (originally only 4!?!) that can currently be played on Rush, which is the game mode that I enjoy the most. Sure these maps are huge and beautiful and destructible, but they seemed to get old really fast for me simply because there are so few of them. With the release of what I am guessing will be 5-7 new Rush-able maps (Map Pack 7 and Vietnam) I feel that my enjoyment of this game will increase significantly. I am excited for tomorrow.

Shoot, i'mma be outta town with no box from the 20th-30th. Grrrr.... everyone will have a jumpstart bahhhh

took me an hour to download off of my school's network. skipping class due to diving into a teammate's knee cap in volleyball. think i have a minor concussion. blessing in disguise? i think so - get to try out m14 and g3 scopes.

who said volleyball wasn't a contact sport?

and nero is right, the copters are nuts now. utilize the blackhawks like crazy now as they tear ***.
