So it looks like they are indeed using MW2's Ghost as a main character in this "rewind" of a COD game. World Premiere will be on the Xbox Live New Generation Live Event on May 21st.

bah they killed him off in modern warfare 2 so unless they say he somehow survived i don't really see the point of exploring a character you know is going to die anyways and also his balaclava wasn't painted on the design was printed on plus the new design isn't even as cool as ghosts skull XD he is my favorite COD character other than Lt.Vasquez but even i cant get behind this

Well, Ghost was arguably the most beloved character out of the Modern Warfare series. They even had a comic book series started after him and a lot of people wanted to have a game that featured him as well.

Lots of games have you play as characters that you either suspect are going to die, or know they're going to die, I don't see how that detracts from the game overall.

As far as the actual mask is concerned, yeah they could have done a better job (I've seen better on some graphics) but for the teaser trailer, it will do.

What I'm really wanting to see is that because they are going to fully reveal the game during Xbox's new generation reveal, if the rumors that a brand new game engine is true. Apparently it has been in the works for the past several years for this new console and hopefully it will help get the series back to where it used to be.

I think they're just showing him now to get some pre-orders. Because there is no info about the game or footage

No info yet, but I'm sure a decent amount will be revealed May 21st and even more during E3 later on.

Confirmed released date is November 5th.

Yeah I'm not doubting it. But I certainly won't even consider pre-ordering until I know anything about it
