I'm happy to see I don't have to wait 6 years for a new game in my franchise can remember the days where I still played BF2 all day long. The sequal comes 2 year after the release of Battlefield 3, since it will probably be released late Q3 early Q4 to compete against the CoD release. I hope the theme stays somewhat modern.

Really looking forward to it And for campaign and wishes there, I don't really want another US. vs some Russian terrorists and so on. I don't want a WWII game either, because, how much left is there to do that hasn't already been done about WWII games? I don't really kow what else there is to make, because I feel like everything is done.
So even if I will play the campaign first (as always), I won't have very high expectations really. The online part will be the most interesting for me!

My wishes for Battlefield 4 is that the campaign itself is Co-Op, up to 4 player Co-Op. This would mark a substantial step up for FPS campaigns. Of course you can also play it singleplayer with AI helping you along, but I want to see some squad action in BF4.

The idea of a pre-WWII fps would be cool but I don't think it would be feasible, especially don't think BF4 should do that.

Exactly, tactics utilized back then were for large groups of men, nothing like small-unit tactics used nowadays or even in someways WWII

I can imagine a 64 player server, full of Cavalrymen and Musketeers in their lines, firing and reloading, cannons exploding and all sorts of stuff. It would get boring though, what if they made a smaller WW2 game like CoD did with WaW?

I want a gun, that fires 1000 rockets a minute, locks onto everything (infantry, ground vehicles, air vehicles, ships), isnt affected by countermeasures and only I can carry it.

It worked with WaW because small-unit tactics were used in WWII but in WWII you had what...Divisions facing Divisions.
Maybe an MMO where you have lots of people could be used in such a large-scale war game--but now that is going off topic
