Subject: Battlefield 4 Revealed Fri Mar 15, 2013 7:16 pm
Battlefield 4 has had its first gameplay video. 17 minutes long, and it shows a TON of variety in gameplay. Below is gameplay from the mission "Fishing in Baku" Battlefield 3 is powered by "Frostbite 3" and gameplay features include squad mate orders, large environments, vehicles, and Single player will track player progress.
Per Origin listings, Battlefield 4 will come at least to PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Preordering nets you a "Premium Expansion" at no extra charge. PC purchasers may opt into a "Digital Deluxe" version. The Digital Deluxe gives you exclusive Battlefield 4 Beta access (in addition to at least those who preordered Medal of Honor Warfighter OR have Battlefield 3 Premium (so pretty much everyone here lol)), and "bonus in-game content."
So... Battlefield 4 is about to get its first reveal... in just 11 days. Time to start speculating . All we have right now is the official logo. For those unaware, this will take place during the Game Developer's Conference (or GDC) and will have media coverage around it.

Mini videos have appeared teasing Battlefield 4 even further, they feature vehicles from land and sea (so far). Both of these videos have the date of March 27th on them, reinforcing the announcement from the 18th.

The previously leaked artwork for Battlefield 4 is 100% official, as it is now present on the Battlefield 4 website. The reveal of BF4's gameplay is tomorrow, less than 24 hours away.

A leaked 30 second gameplay spoiler has appeared on the internet. It mentions a full 17 minute gameplay trailer to go live on battlefield.com. This video however, leaked early, so we have to wait on the 17 minute gameplay.

Great, so basically just a month after they're done with BF3 and the expansions, they're revealing BF4? Don't do what CoD does and end up minutely updating the game and re-releasing it under a new title just to take all of our money.

I think it's just supposed to be so no one knows what the logo will look like right off the bat. Kinda like what cell phone companies do with they're reveals.

I hope they use the army and/or some special forces stuff. Chinooks and blackhawks would be pretty sweet

I'm not sure if I should be happy because it is being released, or sad because it will have limitations if it comes on the PS3

To all of you saying that they are releasing an every year instalment. Start to get things correct. A question to you all...
When was battlefield 3 released? Tell you what, I shall give you the answer, it was November 2011. Now, as you can tell, it is more that 1 year ago. It will be more than 2 years ago when they release it.they are releasing it early 2014 apparently. Do not start to criticise DICE they way people do to Activsion CoD. Just looking to knock them down a bit, it is the community being blind that does silly damage to a company by word of mouth. EA maybe a bit of a bell-end but DICE are good devolopers.
To those bugs: Although there might well have been a lot of bugs, this is a new engine to them so bugs to all kinds of nature will be expected. They may well have been able to release updates more often but you can blame the consoles for this.
If you are anticipating BF4 then you must have enjoyed Bf3 enough to want the next instalment. Don't start to criticise just because you can.

Bad Company series was better and more popular with the consoles because of map types and game stuff and the story was actually good

In all honesty it was one of the worst campaigns to play imo Was ok but was basicly a COD campaign but worse
BC was popular and the campaigns were funny xD

I think a new WWII battlefield game would be amazing, especially on the new consoles with 64 players. But thats just me and I know battlefield 4 won't be WWII.
