I hope they mean that they will make it, if they are already making it that would kind of be stupid. I want them to make 2143 first :3 Bad Company 3 would be good as well as the ending of the campaign was very interesting.

I'm actually quite happy about it. It means that the game was a commercial succes and that we can expect another BF title in the future. Also he simply states that it will come, not that they're already working on it.

I also believe they've stated once that they want to make atleast more DLC then what they did for bad company 2, although I cannot find a conclusive article at the moment that states the same. However consider that BC2 had 7 map packs, a coop game mode called onslaught and a vietnam based expansion ( plus some kitupgrades and shortcuts.. ) There should be plenty of content coming for BF3

I would assume we won't see BF4 for at least 4-6 years. BF isn't a yearly release like CoD or other games.

It is indeed never a simple rehash of the game that came before it, nor is it fixed around a fixed period of the year, like sports titles or CoD. But battlefield has released a new title every year since 2002 that is, if you count the expansion packs.

But I doubt that should mean we see BF4 next year, for now I'll stick to enjoying bf3 instead of worrying about a sequel
