- The policy is a laundry list of bannable offenses, with penalties, ranging from 48-hour suspensions to loss of certain privileges and stats to permanent removal from online play, clearly outlined.
Piracy, modding, and hacking, when discovered by Treyarch, will be rewarded by permanent bans. The use of "unsupported devices and applications," which include but are not limited to, "modded controllers, IP flooders and lag switches," will trigger a temporary ban and stat reset for the first offense, with potential permanent bans for repeated use. Exploiting glitches in any way is also, naturally, a big no-no.
As for lewd and offensive but not cheating-related behavior, first offenses result in temporary bans, second offenses in temporary bans and the revocation of voice chat, and theoretically "extreme or repeat offenses" can get a player permanently banned from online play.
The same applies to problematic behavior while live-streaming play, so streaming players, be sure to remember when to log off and walk away first http://kotaku.com/5959801/how-not-to-get-banned-from-call-of-duty-black-ops-iithey didn't listen in mw3, but why now. what are you thoughts on this stuff. =D

| How exactly can you prove if someone is using a modded controller? I mean, I use a Scuf controller so does that mean I'm gonna get a temporary ban? |

| I can spam a .50 pretty fast (anyone that has gamed with me can attest to that), does that mean I should be banned? |

| the reason they are so intent now, is because they realize now that they are starting to lose there player base due to there lack of support when it comes to the quality of their games. i read in Rolling Stone "we have to be innovative this time around, if you let up and stop making new stuff, your going to lose your followers, so we are trying to make this the best CoD game yet" or something along those lines. Unfortunately, BO2 is almost unplayable on the PS3, personally, im not impressed at all |

| What do you mean unplayable on the PS3? I know they've revamped their matchmaking to where it connects by closest region of the world instead of lag compensation. |

for me atleast it randomly disconnects, keeps searching for players even though theres the max amount already in and it freezes abruptly. In other words it has been a horrible launch, at least for me. I dont know if the xbox guys are having the same problems. |

| There's been several migrating hosts and random lobby "kick outs" for me being on Xbox. Basically have had 3-5 games that knocked me completely out for no apparent reason.
I'm guessing it's Treyarch's servers that can't handle the craziness. I would say hopefully after about a week that it won't be as bad. This happened last year as well. |
