No, this is not Day Z, however it appears very similar.
It's been five years since the outbreak; leaving in its wake a post-apocalyptic nightmare with ninety-five percent of the human population gone. In order to stay alive, you will need food, weapons, and other supplies. Some of you will be able to scavenge as you navigate the terrain, others will be forced to fight for survival as you encounter zombies and other players. Every decision will have an impact on whether you live or how quickly you die. Choose one of the hundreds of servers to play on. Each Zombie Game world has an area of up to 400 square kilometers. As more worlds become available, just switch between them at any time, without losing your character's data, or paying any "world transfer fees".
NO CLASSES AND RESTRICTIONS, NO LEVELS, OR UNREALISTIC STAT MODIFICATIONS.

Do you know what the Minimum specs are going to be? I've been interested in this game for a while but neither of my computers are able to run it.

Their advice is to try War Inc. Battlezone (Free Game) as it will have similar requirements.
They are:
OS: Windows XP SP3 or higher Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz or similar AMD Memory: 2GB of RAM Hard Disk Space: 2GB of HDD space Video Card: nVidia 9600 or similar ATI, 512MB dedicated video memory, Pixel Shader 2.0

Looks awesome, wouldn't mind playing it
as for Warzone, the graphics aren't that high, but its still a laggy game anyway. I can run BF3 on high, but battlezone on medium seems so laggy

Well I think with this being a payed game it won't be as laggy. They've said the shooting will be like War Zone and BF3, so should be good
If you look at the forums, people are constantly suggesting ideas for the game, and the devs are constantly listening, they've even made their own sticky thread with their favourrote ideas for the game.

It's gonna be $30, so not bad, but I understand it still is a fair bit to some people, I think when I pre-order there are 3 guest passes which will let you have some time in game.

Looks interesting. It seems like they have made it slightly more Call Of Duty-ish compared to DayZ. Not that that's a bad thing . Will be interesting to see more of this to get a better overall view of how the game might be.

Oh damn, so hard choice. Pioneer or Legend? Really hard choice, since I've also planned on buying a signed album of a band called Tantara. Then Im going to pre-order Medal of Honor, cuz I want that game and Battlefield 4 beta access. Problem is, I cant afford all this (Yes I can, but I dont want to spend so extremely much). The fall is the most expensive time of the year for me -.-
