Paranoid? That was the exact opposite of what I was implying. And I think the fact that it is an international event will make it (in their eyes) so much better and more successful.

Also, terrorists are usually nationalistic or religious radicals. Would they seriously risk killing their own people? I doubt it.

But then again, many Muslims died on 9/11.

Terrorists always get linked with muslims.. There is plenty of other groups that aren't muslims who do terrorist acts. Think of the russia bombing with the Tschjetschens (it was two women I think). And why would they want to hurt their own countries anyways

I know of the Munich massacre. I meant shoot a missle into the opening cerimonies or something.

But China wasn't this scared at the 2008 olymipcs. They had regular olympic sercuirty they didnt call in a regiment of the SAS.

Unfortunately the threat of terrorism is very real for the O Games, however, I dont think an air attack is though.

Cause they don't have SAS, u silly. They have their own special forces, which they used. And I actually saw that on my country TV, which showed how they prepared and blah blah blah.

but as for putting missles for precaution, its always a good idea. Its a world event that everyone sees. Of course they would attack even if it risked the lives of their own people, they blow themselves up, and children, as long as it is in the name of whatever their cause is to be recognized.

and as for that comment about millions dying in africa? I'm sorry but my sympathy factor has been drained in that dead end. Millions of africans dying by the hands of africans, or by not being able to stop over multiplying. Eh.
