| I was browsing the interwebz, and I came across this very useful chart on the weapon damage in BF3. Clicky! This is really helpful, as it shows the damage for most weapons, suppressed weapon damage, some shotgun damage, time it theoretically takes to kill at maximum RoF (spray with auto weapons, mad mouse-clicking with semi-auto and bolt-action) at various ranges, and the rounds needed to kill at various ranges |

| Much Appreciated.
Is there a way to tell how far someone is in game?
I can kinda judge but it would be nice to know when the 30m and 40m mark hit. |

| Not to sure if this is all accurate. Seems to be some information that is glitched due to rounding. Example with the first weapon, states 40m 19 damage and would take 6 bullets to do so in game. Test it out, you can do it in 5. Headshot hitbox: - Quote :
- The hitbox for headshots may possibly increase in size the longer you stand still. There were numerous moments where we were getting headshots despite aiming for the lower torso or crotch. If this is true, it is a very interesting "secret" measure developed by DICE to discourage camping.
If the hitbox increases when you stand still longer, meaning that it is encourage to camp which doesn't make sense. I've been testing HS boxes and there are tons of variables that makes it hard to tell what the hitbox will be. Largest one is the range. I've only testing using a sniper, no other classes. It also depends on if your opponent is moving. It seems that if your opponent sits longer their hitbox increases making it easier for you to hit them. When they were running, it had to be spot on. Also, the holding breath vs bipod. Bipod gave me a much larger hitbox that what holding my breath would give. Also, important factors to take in effect that I did not see was perks. There should be a relative +/- of what the dmg would be for each perk. IE: explosive perk, or flak. Another piece is damage through objects. Ever try to shoot someone through walls, trees, or bricks (ie metro)? Some can some can't, the ones that can they do different damage. I would probably give that chart 'something to start' with if you are deciding what you would like to start out with. |
