So Vonhailer prompted me to write this little tutorial. It's made even simpler with the ventrilo module to the left.

Follow these step by step-

1. Visit the Ventrilo site here. I've taken you straight to the downloads page. Download the corresponding client file for your operating system.

2. When you click it, click SAVE NOT RUN.

3. Save it to your preferred downloads file.

4. When finished downloading, either click RUN, or in the file directory, click OPEN.

5. This will quickly install the application.

6. Open up ventrilo. You will see User Name, Server, Bindings, with a toolbar of buttons, and a white box.

7. Click "User Name," then "New" Fill in your user name. thats about it. Hit "OK"

8. Now as long as the ventrilo module is here, all you have to do is come here, and then click Join server directly on the module. It should take you directly into our server.

9. To join other servers, click the "Servers" button and put in all the appropriate information. Server passwords are not always needed.

10. Now you should be able to click "OK" and then click "Join"

11. As you add servers, there will be a drop down list of all the servers on your records that you can join.

12. Some servers have MOTDs (Message of the Day) that pops up when you join. Some require you to set up a user account with an admin that includes general permissions that they will set up. But our server is pretty layed back so you dont need to worry about that for us.
