| As a few people in the clan already know. Microsoft has recently released the ninth version of their popular Internet Explorer web browser. One of the newest and most interesting features of this new release is the addition of site specific Jump List on Windows 7. Jump Lists are a feature which gives programs a menu of common tasks in a program to let the user have fast access. Site specific jump lists are jump lists made for an individual website. Many websites already support it such as Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, and now the 13th MEU website. We now have our own Jump List and its easy to install and access. Requirements: Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9. Step 1: Go to http://www.13thmeu.net on your IE 9 browser. Step 2: Drag the tab down to the bottom of the screen like so: Easy as that. Notice the new 13th icon in my Windows 7 taskbar. Clicking on that will open up our website in a special, 13th specific, IE 9 window. However right clicking on that will open up our jump list menu. Which allows you to get rid of this if you wish, and you can quickly get to some of the most commonly accessed forums such as general discussion, public discussion and so on. |

Not really. http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/10/safari-and-ie8-get-shamed-at-pwn2own-chrome-still-safe-for-n/Look at the second last line. Safari was cracked in 5 seconds while Chrome went unscathed (for the 3rd year in a row I believe). Safari is the most insecure web browser on the market. Chrome is faster, has more extensions and is more secure. Plus Safari will only support the closed format h.264 for HTML 5 and will not support the open and free format WebM. |
