I had a pretty good thread from awhile ago titled Favorite War Movies, and being a huge movie fan, I love when I have the ability to further our community, but also gain insight into our member's minds. So in honor of that thread, I want to start a new one again. But not just war movies, anything, past present or future. So yeah.
I imagine sometime I will post some of my favorite movies, but I just got finished watching The Town. So that'll be my starting place.
The Town staring Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner(Becoming one of my favorite actors, ie from 28 Weeks Later, The Hurt Locker), Rebecca Hall, and others. Well basically, the plot wasn't too shabby, I felt it was well pretty developed (at least in the Extended Cut). Action scenes were pretty awesome, and the characters using some uncommon weaponry from time to time, ie AK Bullpup, FAL Carbine, which to a gun guy like me was cool to see. The Boston accents didn't feel forced, and realistic enough. Ending was a turn I didn't think would happen. I'm not a huge mystery/cop film kind of guy, but they have been slowly growing on me. Overall, 9/10 for me.

i think the best movie i ever seen was Gladiator, a some good scene of action and blood everywhere , also the soudtrack of the movie is just EPIC, once again Hanz Zimmer ROCKS!!!, but i think the thing that made me fall in love to this movie was how Roman Tactics on the Battle just after the intro credits were so accurated, all the rest of movies about romans only show the "testudo", but i this movie we see how cavalry flanked the barbarian hords, and also how the roman arches worked together with the roman infantry.
so this movies get a 9/10

I agree with Paisaman on every point except the 9/10 rating , should be 10 !
Recently I watched Kill bill , I think it is a masterpiece , great fighting scenes , great storyline of vengeance and betrayal and the soundtrack was absolutely amazing , the only thing I didn't like is the way the story is placed in a weird order so It was a bit confusing when I first watched it . I loved all the characters , the humor and all the gore. Uma Thurman's character , the bride was just awesome , sexy and deadly ! It is still one of my favorite movies in my library ! Gets a 9.5/10 since I can't decide whether it deserves a 10 or a 9 !

dude, the best of the movie is how story's order, also the best thing of Kill Bill Vol1 and 2 is the variety of music styles on the soundtrack, u dont see anywhere else a japanese samurai fight with spanish flamenco on the background. xD

I have close to 2,500 movies, it's hard to pick a favorite, but I'd have to Taken, and a few Eastwood flicks.

*high fives* i saw the white castles one and the harold and kumar go to amsterdamn one and they we're awesome!
but my favorite movie is kinda weird, it was the first horror movie i ever saw, in the beginning your scared as hell but after a while the way the people die are getting so funny that you're barely scared anymore, and everytime something funny happened we rewinded it about 4 times and wacthed it again.
the movie is called dead snow the time i watched this movie was at at a sleepover with some friends ( i slept about 1 hour and i was awake 39 XD )
we watched tons of films and every time something funny happened we rewinded
let's see, we saw dead snow that night, crank 2, the devil's playground, gamer, final destination ( i can't remember what part, altough the nr 4 is too much luck, the one is just plane awesome ) um andother film, but i can't remember the name, at a certain moment schwartzenneger walks in and is all pissed, then i told that schwarzenneger wanted to be president but he can't become president because he already was a governor. Then in the movie they asked
what's his problem?
He wants to be the president
XD
wa saw tons more but i can't really remember.

I'm close to finishing The Pacific ( I know not a movie, but better) with Part 9 tonight. I have to say, watching the series a second time really helps. The first time last year was just like so much awesomeness and shock, you only could get so much, but now I understand a lot of sub plots better, and of course appreciate the action. 10/10 for most episodes.
Also guys, this post isn't just about favorites, feel free to do any movie you recently saw and wanted to share.

I thoroughly enjoyed Inception. Possibly one of the best movies I've ever seen. It reminds me a bit of Solaris. In Inception, there is plenty of action and chase scenes. Yet it also twists the mind into a plot that is confusing and psychological deep in an epic way. Hans Zimmer again, (Have to agree with Paisa, Gladiator soundtrack = awesomeness) got a whole bowl of epicosity into it with his fearful cinematic full thrusting chilling soundtrack. Leonardo Dicaprio did great in the movie, as did the other main actors. I really liked this mind-twisting action movie. I, truly, never give movies a high rating like this. (Also, I never buy movies on DVD, this is one I actually did buy) 10/10
- Mike
Here's a taste of the soundtrack. EPIC!
- Also: If it's war related, I really enjoyed Blackhawk Down, which I'm sure most if not all of you have seen. There are other good war movies I've seen, but don't feel like listed them.

Hooah and Currahee! Yeah, those two are among my favorite films and my favorite books! Make sure to see the extended edition of BHD if you have a chance, it's much better, even the small scenes they add make it, well, make sense.
