| I am the private. And one of the newest members of Comanche, I wanted to post my observations since I started playing with the 13th. "Thu Nov 11, 2010 9:30 pm". Game rank was MSGT at the time and I had a long break between playing due to losing my first Xbox.
Recently I purchased the new Xbox (6 months since the first) and glad I did. That is when I applied to the 13th. I was referred by the former CC Clan since applying with them, but never in processed due to the above.
I read through "most" of the tactics page and printed out maps etc. Fitting into the squad is mostly based on ones ability to learn/read/study. NOT a lot of noob training on the maps while playing. If you linger around you either get knifed or shot.
I mostly followed my early maps. Ghost took me under his wing even when I had no squad. So I hung out with him If I could keep up as medic. Which usually got me shot. So I re-spawn and keep trying.
Most of my learning came from watching what others did. I usually got shot doing it, but I had to learn. Also playing single player campaign was the best training I had. It allowed me to adjust sensitivity, and jump back into battle. Certain maps you could gustav, c4, shoot and get more ammo. No hurry or worry about getting knifed or shot.
I also learned more about laying land mines. You just have to get them ahead of your buddy so you get the credit in the atacama desert campaign.
When more of the 13th is involved we lose less. Only sometimes do we lose and that is probably because they operated with tighter communication and everyone was on one accord. Or we were discussing politics in the chat and MCOMS are being blown to bits one by one.
Things I need to work on:
1. Quick draw, shooting when pieing around a corner inside a house or waiting. I find sometimes shooting even with a MG3 (medic) does not damage even point blank. 2. Stay out of the open use cover more. 3. Find prime ambush locations, slow the flow of enemy coming in or waste their tickets. 4. Get out of the room before detonating the C4. 5. Pay more attention where my squad is and support. 6. Learn to zombie squad more to be stubborn on objectives (such as nelson bay large building mcom defense). 7. Battlefield awareness, I try all the time to press back button to mark targets, and get on machine guns or support with tanks. The field guide said you will get shot off most likely. But not before getting some kills or stopping an attack.
Thats it for now, need to work on my signature.

| 1 - good tactic - get used to hitting your sidearm immediately when you are out of ammo. also, when reloading after you just slaughtered someone, do it while running. so many people just stand there and i get them because they reload and don't move.
2 - always use cover. check your 3 and 9 too depending on map layout and cover. too many people in game just b-line straight from behind a crate or something and never look. boom, dead.
i also like #7 cobra. that's so hard to get smurfs to do. they either don't talk or don't mark targets.
a good tactic for when you are having marking issues is to switch to your sidearm and back to your primary and hit the back button again. that usually clears the glitch that happens a lot. i find myself trained on that and using it habitually now.
now if i can only get myself to stop doing it in other games like medal of honor campaign. i keep ending up at the map layout screen. lol. |

| Good idea, I will add those. I just started doing the assault C4 and its easy to get into a mad banshee race to the MCOM. I will check my 3 and 9 more often and work as a squad. I have improved my weapon swapping doing single player. I would hang out by an ammo crate and just practice shooting and switching weapons.
More things to work on. 8. Working on my dart gun tactics more. Get more than one in case they use smoke. 9. Run supplies to people. Just dump ammo next to people while running around, just a good habit. Sometimes I have to shoot people to get their attention for ammo crate. My engineer needs more ammo!. 10. Take down assets fast as possible such as hind helicopters with the Bradley. I was able to down several helicopters doing this. 11. Get on AA gun tank and get the circle jerk apache. I really despise them circle jerking the spawn. 12. Practice more with tanks as support instead of trying to range mcoms. Targeting opposing armor is more important and help punch a hole for the infantry mcoms. 13. Get to the back of the base for a spawn point.
Probably most I would like to work on would be squad zombie attack. This will be needed with mcom updates. Running helo, or atv VBIED's (Vehicle Bombs) will no longer do as much damage. If we can get a bunch of us into the back of the spawn then attack with a full squad would be awesome.
I see we do it now, but with limited numbers and 1-2 people running. Imagine 4 at once? Or more. One enemy team did this on isla inocentes in the rear of the base. They had one single person in the guard shack. They kept coming out like ants. We must have shot 7-10 people coming from there in a constant flow.

| good things to work on. remember to think of the dart gun as a sniper rifle. it hits dead on with no drop. just remember to try and gauge the movement of the target and lead it before shooting. on top of that, 3 - 40mm grenades can take a chopper down. i'm very good with ranging with those.
for getting ammo to people across roads or on top of boxes, etc. practice the jump toss. you can throw an ammo/medic box about 10-15 feet that way. the key is to hit the distribute button just before your run jump. watch the container fly.
not only is zombie squading effective, i think it's hilarious and fun. seriously, some reason i think it's badass to move up and irritate the other team because they cannot seem to down your squad. also, it seems like your zombie squad is a porcupine that's angry with all of the lead pumping out of your group. |

| oh, and on the reloading using your sidearm tactic, remember if you have an attachment too. i've used up my primary ammo, switched to sidearm and used that, then boom fired my 40mm grenade launcher saving my hide. triple threat action at it's finest. |

Awesome post! The thing I take advantage of more than anything is hiding in bushes. As crazy as it sounds you'd be amazed at how people will overlook bushes. And when you notice your squad is dead or almost all dead, HIDE. For the love of god, PLEASE HIDE if all your team mates are dead, cause they are looking right at you as a spawn point. |

| Also if your running recon and not using sensor balls...start doing it. I abhor seeing "sniper" just sitting in a bush waiting for a target to stay in their sight long enough to shoot it. Throw a damn sensor ball and watch your self get 20 points for each kill off of it.
As far as ambushes go, you'll slowly find where people tend to travel and find the nooks and crannies big enough for you to hide in. My favorite one is the second zone of Arica right on the cliff they have to jump down from. If you go as far as you can back, you are protected from everythign but the other side of the road and the construction building, but if they take those, you don't want to be there anyways.
Learn to use the 40mm shotgun. Gun procession should go 40mm upon breaching, then main gun switch empty the clip, and then sidearm for easy cleanup. |

I don't know about you but I favour firing the first round from the 40mm and reloading to the second before entering a building so that once I've fired it switches. |

Eh there's really no right or wrong way. I always hit y after firing to change to primary. Forgot to mention throwing a grenade in the building if you know their in there before entering. It might not kill them but could wound them or disorient hen enough to give you the advantage. |
