The almighty clanwarguide ( for bfh )

to make it easier to read, i put everything in little chapters and i'll add pictures so the guide don't become just 5 posts of boring text. This is my first guide, but i think it's pretty good

1. What is a clanwar?
2. Roles of mando, gunner and soldier in a clanwar
3. Abilities

1.What is a clanwar?

A clanwar is an event that is hold by 2 clans, in this event both clans will measure their strength to see who is the best. On bfh a clanwar mostly of the time is 8 vs 8, 4 vs 4 or 6 vs 6. The rounds are always different but most clans prefer a war on Victory Village ( VV ) and Coastal Clash ( CC ) however riverside rush ( RR ) is sometimes also used.

Maps that you will never see are maps like BB, SS or any other vehicle map cause luck is a too important factor in those maps and it's very hard to regroup your team on those maps.

2. Roles of mando, gunner and soldier in a clanwar

In this chapter we'll see what the job of every hero on the battlefield is.

1. Commando's

In most clanwars you mostly see only one commando, the reason for this is because commando's can be walking ticketlosses, maybe some of you know think: Then why bring a commando in a war ?
Well this is easy to explain, mando's are very often used for 2 things, 1 to counter the enemy mando's cause if an enemy commando's shoots from far range while you are in battle with your opponents, you can't just take your lr weapon and shoot him or you're doomed to get killed. The enemy commando can deal alot of damage wich causes your team to lose when you're fighting the opponent team. That's why the commando is for, to mark the enemy mando and snipe him down before he snipes your team down.

Mando's can also be used to suddenly appear and knife the opponent team while they are fighting you, this tactic is risky cause 1 BS and that commando is dead for sure. So i don't recommend this tactic.

2. Gunners

The job of a gunner might seem easy but believe me it isn't. You have to use your abilities right and deal alot of damage to the opponents. In a next chapter i'll explain the most usefull abilities.

3. Soldiers

My personal favorite and probably the most important class in a clanwar, i compare them with glue, without glue things won't stick together, or in other words without soldiers the whole team dies, it's right on the moment where gunners and soldiers work perfectly together ( i mean the right timing of legit, hero shield, combat medecine and blasting strike ) that your team will win. They have the most important abilities to keep the gunners and theirself alive.

3. Abilities

Last time i started with the mando's so i guess i'll do that again, i'll give my opinion and personal rating to the abilities, and the higher the mark, the better an abilitie is in a clanwar.

a. commando abilities

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Stealt11 Stealth 5/5: I know this has been said already a billion times but stealth is the most important commando ability,i don't think i have to explain why.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Elixir11 Elixer 3/5: A good ability for when you are sniping, it can provide the little shield bonus and extra speed to get away after you sniper somebody and they noticed you.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Troop_10 Troop trap 3/5: I wouldn't personally take it with me in a clanwar but it's nice to throw at some sneaky places, only throw this when you're moving your location, not while you're sniping and also don't use this to get to camp spots, cause commando's are worthless in a clanwar if they camp, in a clanwar fieldsnipers are needed.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Mark_t10 Mark target 4/5: really handy for countering the enemy commando, cause if he gets market he knows that a mando is near, so he won't snipe cause if he would do that he wouldn't see the area around him and his life what would make him an easy target. If he still has the guts to start sniping, you can easely snipe him down.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Pierci10 Piercing shot 5/5: Adds extra damage to your sniper shots wich is needed to finish off the enemy while your team is in combat with the opponents.

b. Gunner abilities

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Hero_s10 Hero Shield 5/5: Normally i hate hero shield but in clanwars it's really worth it, if it's maxed out and shields 50 damage to every person in your area, ( let's say your whole team is there except 1 mando s 7 people ) it has a total value of 350 extra damage your team can take, in the time your team is shielded the CM of the soldiers reloads and vise versa, so these 2 abilities are a good combination.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Explos10 Keg 4/5: It's worth it to spend at least 1 point in keg, it's not for the damage but it slows enemies down, what can give the mando the opportunity to snipe the opponent team down, they also would take longer to hide for a quick heal, so this ability is very valueble and underrated.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Frenzy10 Frenzy fire 2/5: Now some of you might be thinking that this rating isn't correct, but it is. It only benefits yourself and not your team, if every gunner ( let's say 3 ) has 5/5 frenzy fire then that are 15 hero points lost, those points would be better invested in abilities like i eat Grenades or hero shield.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) I_eat_10 I eat Grenades 4/5: really helpfull to prevent your team taking hits from grenades and kegs, cause they can cause alot of damage and they help the enemy commando to snipe the team.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Leg_it10 Leg it 5/5: It helps your team to quickly hide for a quick heal, it helps your team to get very fast to important places like roadblock on VV, i recommend maxing it out very soon.

In the next post you'll read about soldier abilities and weapons you should always have with you in a clanwar

Part 2 of the almighty clanwarguide (for bfh)

3.c Soldier abilities
4.Weapons

Soldier abilities

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Combat11 Combat Medecine 5/5: I don't think i have to explain, it heals you and your teammates and makes a good combination with hero shield.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Blasti10 Blasting Strike 4.5/5: On vv around church it's handy to Bs them in the water, it's also good to divide the enemy group wich makes it easier for you to kill them, the only negative point is that if you do it wrong he flies too far behind a building and then he can easely retreats and heal, however the good points outweight the bad points.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Burnin10 Burning bullets 3.5/5: Now you might think it's useless with the widget Fantastic Fireproof Underants wich is true, but it is handy to interrupt the enemy bandages, so one BB is good but i don't recommand upgrading the abilitie any further.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Grenad10 Grenade spam 2/5: Not recommanded when you already have a hand nade, besides this skill is not handy cause except damage it hasn't any side effects like a keg, this ability can easely be countered with IEg. Further upgrading has almost no use since the damage just gets divided over more nades, so it doesn't deal extra additional damage when you invest a HP in it.

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) 6th_se10 Sixth sense 4/5: Really usefull so you know where your opponents are, with how many thet are and where you need to throw your nades, altough i don't recommend investing more then 1 HP in it.

The weapons

Probably one of the most important choices, in this chapter i'm going to speak about possible combinations, ofcourse i'm not going to tell about all of them cause then this would get a very long and boring guide.

Before i start i just want to say one thing to all the soldiers Leave your tnt home and go for the hand nade, same with gunners go for the bazooka's not tnt

Combinations:

double slugger combination: 3/5

You play with 2 long range shotguns, i don't recommend this but it's a fun combination. Sluggers are very slow, but have good hits ( it varies from 10-30 from a normal clanwarrange ) they fire 1 shot each second wich is slow but if you keep switching them every shot you can do 2 shots in 1.1 or 1.2 seconds, only bad thing about this technique is that it isn't for people who doesn't reguraly use shotguns cause it requires good aiming, expert timing and alot of switching weapons.

The sr and lr smg: 4.5/5
A good combination when you switch them right, they fire pretty fast so every player can use them, i recommand this for and the combination below for soldiers.

the sr smg and lr gun: 4.5/5
Same as above, except the aiming with the lr gun is a little bit harder cause it's very accurate however it hits more, so if you can master the lr pistol it is totally worth it.

SR and LR mg: 4.5/5 the only recommandable choice, don't needs much explanation.

The stats of the most important weapons

Well a picture says more then a thousand words:

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Lr20pi10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Lr20sm10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Sr20sm10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Sr20ri10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Mr20ri10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Lr20ri10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Lr20sh10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Sr20sh10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Sr20mg10

bfh clanwar guide ( finished! ) Lr20mg10

Ubers just give extra bullets and extra critical hitratio, the differences are worth it on some weapons like pistols or sniper rifles but definitily not for MG's cause you keep the same amount of bullets.

Also pkm's, the new tier 1 weapon and al those other weapons are just restyled versions of the uber, it isn't worth the amount of battlefunds.

Part 3 of the almighty clanwar guide ( for bfh )

5.Widgets and how to use them
6.Balances between all classes

5. Widgets and how to use them

Before i start, a little note, i don't speak about the new widgets ( football, flare, throwing knife etc. ) cause in my opinion they're not handy in a clanwar or just useless.
( sorry i couldn't find pictures for the widgets, if you find a page with the images widgets on it, please send the link or the pictures in a pm )

Depending on the rules of the clanwar different widgets are allowed, i'm just gonna tell you when it are good and bad moments to use them and what they do.

stamina boost: Gives you 10 extra hp, always buy this before a clanwar, it activates itself automatic.

Terrific health tonic: Heals immediatly 50 damage, this is best used like this: You quickly hade in a sideway ( VV ) or you walk backwards so your teammates are standing before you like a shield, use it and go back into combat!

Supreme Bandage: Good to use after a battle is done or if it's still going, walk in an allyway or behind a wall, heal for a few seconds and go back in the battle.

Don't use this when you're being burned by burning bullets cause you won't heal then.

Fantastic fireproof underpants: This is used automaticly, just buy it, it can prevent you from taking alot of damage.

Tip: Clanwars are always in unranked servers so don't spend all your vp on widgets, buy them one time and they can always be used during the clanwar.

Balances between all classes

In this chapter we're going to talk about the amount of soldiers, mando's and gunners i would recommand taking in a war, depending on what kind of war it is ( 6vs6, 8vs 8 etc. )

4 vs 4: 3 soldiers and 1 gunner, no mando cause if you have to play with 2 soldiers and 1 gunner against 4 skilled enemies, there is no way you'll survive.

6 vs 6: 4 soldiers and 2 gunners, again no mando for the same reason.

8 vs 8: 4 soldiers, 3 gunners and yes finally a mando, i think i already explained in the posts above what the use can be of a mando in an 8 vs 8 fight.

Part 4 of the almighty clanwar guide ( for bfh )

7. What to do when you die
8.Good use of ventrilo

7. What to do when you die

It's the moment where the enemy is stronger then you or you make a misstake and you die, but what then?

Assuming you use ventrilo, i'll explain some possible ways too regroup or what you could do when you're dead.
( I don't speak about mando's they just need to go in stealth and snipe the opponents again. )

A) Ask with ventrilo where your team is heading, so you can catch up with them.

B) Let your team go to you ( not recommanded ) the good thing about this way is that the regrouping is faster, a negative point is that it is dangerous, the enemy will start to play more agressively and the possibility is that your team dies.

C) Don't regroup and go attack the enemy from behind ( recommanded when you're not alone )

8. Good use of ventrilo

ventrilo is a software like teamspeak wich allow you to speak with your teammates, it is faster then typing and you don't lose time with it, so always use it in clanwars.

The best thing is to choose one leader that gives commands during the battle. ( in our case ocean and bronx mostly of the time ) It's better cause if everyone starts talking at the same time, real advice and instructions can't be heard. Ventrilo can be used for multiple things, saying how hard you powned them, telling people that you died and that you'll regroup or in the meanwhile while the battle changes you can always give commands.

Part 5 of the almighty clanwar guide ( for bfh )

9. Tactics
10. How it's done ( examples )

9. Tactics

In this last and almost final chapter of this enormous guide we'll speak about tactics, i worked over 3 hours on this guide so i won't upload pics anymore, cause the text is clear on itsself.

1) All follow the leader ( ocean): This tactic is pretty basic, you stay together in one big group and you keep on regrouping. good thig is that a big group isn't easely killed but if they attack us from 2 directions we might get in trouble however there is nothing a bs can't fix.

2) The tommy flank tank: What i noticed from our clanwar against echo squad is that tommy always attacked from the other side or suddenly appeared out of nowhere on VV, what delivered them big troubles, this tactic is best suited for a gunner and a soldier or just a gunner alone ( if the enemy doesn't notice the flank attack immediatly start with trowing a keg and shoot with your bazooka on it, if they don't notice, they won't use IEg and their destiny is almost sure, they probably die. after the keg it's a smart idea to use legit and run for it, you just run back to your team.

3) Individual Expert Nadesupport: It's for people that are low level but rule with hand nade, the basic idea is just to shoot, heal and use bs but you keep yourself at the background, and every time you have a nade you throw them, what causes them to use IEg or take serious damage.

4) The Teamdividers: This tactic is not so hard, use bs whenever you're able to hit them to divide them in little groups. And try to let them hit buildings.

5) The Defending Unit: Let them take 3 of the 4 points and just simply wait, then when they are running to cap the fourth point you jump of the roofs or you come out of your hidingspot and bs and blow them as far as possible, then you start shooting them and when they're almost all down you rush to cap the most important points ( roadblock and lookout for example )

Only use the last tactic at the start.

10. How it's done

We are the nationals in this vids, first round we lose, second round we dominate.

Where did you get those weapon guide pictures? I've seen them before and I've been looking for those. I want to check the difference in crit rate between normal and super slugger Razz
