OK, so for many of you, school has started, or is starting. My school is starting soon. But I have one major problem. I already do 2 sports out-of-school, and when last year, they gave out class forms so you could choose your classes for next year, a note at the bottom said: For Students: It is not mandatory for students to take Physical Ed. next year. And I was so happy that I wouldn't have to do that, because I already had 2 sports to deal with. Well I choose my electives, one of them year-long band, and another, a semester (2 quarters) of something like sound tech or computer literacy. Well, I received my schedule, and I have always made the classes I choose, there was something macho wrong. It said this: 1 semester of Advanced Physical Ed. . Year- long Advanced Band. And I got pissed, real pissed. How did my other (sound tech or whatever) class turn into Advanced Physical! I am so mad!!! Plus, to top it off, It was made my first class. numero 1, when my school starts at 7:00 AM, and I already have 2 other sports at the end of the day to do. I fear that I am doomed. For this is going to be one hard school year. Does anyone feel my pain? Or are experiencing similar things. I am so sad and so pissed at the same time .

Talk to your counselor and request it be changed. Tell them you didn't want PE. Also, keep in mind your Tech class might have been full and PE was probably your alternative.

I really wanted to take Guitar II since that would fulfill my Fine Arts credit, but I signed up for a year long class which had two different names for each semester. I should have figured Tech T&I was combined with C&D.

Maybe. My school can be very strict. I'll see when I get the chance.

What sports are you doing?

Hmm, I'm assuming your in highschool? Well for us, marching band doubles as a fine arts AND PE credit, so we killed two birds with one stone. Then again, I am from Texas, and each state might do things differently. Ask your counselor like Doctor Sofa said. They should help you solve the problem (most likely the class was full).

I remmember grade 9(freshmen year for americans). Biology was epic - If you know what I mean. Also if you have good grades you most likely WILL get what you want.

I had a sinila problem. Last term I had to choose my subjects I said media and they put me 4 buisness it's ok though. At least I got all the others I wanted to do

I do year-long swimming and sometimes track. I will go to the Grade consuelor or the Office the first day and request a change, thanks doc. I get close to perfect (All As and one B+) grades, so it doesnt make much sense why I didn't get in. What is also weird is that Advanced Physical Ed wasn't even an alternative class.
(You choose 3 alternatives when getting electives, alternatives are if you don't make the class you first asked for.)
