| That was awesome! My fiancee LOVES karaoke. She's been going sing at the local bar for 8 years, and she's not bad at it. I also love karaoke, but I'm not the greatest singer ever. Anyways, we were at the local bar at karaoke one night, and I got up and sang Love Song by 311 (definitely not my best song by far, I'm more of a classic/alternative rock kinda guy so I kinda butchered it in front of everyone there). After I finished singing murdering the song, I called her up to the microphone and told her something like, "You're the most amazing girl I've ever met, and when I think of my future, I can't imagine it without you in it". I dropped to one knee, and proposed, she said yes, then we slow danced to "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton (the first song we ever slow danced to). I've been approached by people several times since who asked if I was the guy who proposed at karaoke, lol. |
