We thought this was really interesting so I'm sharing it with all of you. Wink

«13th»hav0k569: How about in an FPS mp we could have weapons that get damaged over time and need to be repaired or guns that jam after so much wear and tear, also have an mp mode that make one team protect a nulcear facility filled with of course nukes but like bc2

«13th»hav0k569: but yeah any feedback would be welcome, also your attachemnts could wear and tear like too much splash damage from grenades could break your armor or attachemnts and have certain levels of wear and tear be fully visual to the player, like the glass in the scopes start to crack or have missing peices of metal on the guns, and if your gun breaks there will be an animation for that then if it does break you'll have to quickly find another gun

pigmazurka: If you respawn I don't think you should still have the wear and tear though

pigmazurka: For 2 minutes you should be there before the match
«13th»hav0k569: Good idea or hell be able to even call in helicopters or tanks to be dropped in when certain things are done
pigmazurka: That means the game can't be as infantry centric

«13th»hav0k569: and you could only call in so many vehicles at a time
pigmazurka: Kind of like seelow from world at war?

pigmazurka: It'd have to be crafted better than Seelow
pigmazurka: Seelow was too big to traverse on foot
«13th»hav0k569: yeah it was, i don't want it to fell like BC2 that much but something totally unique. hell it might not even be a military shooter could be sci fi shooter idk

pigmazurka: I think there should be a system to get in vehicles
pigmazurka: Instead of just magically teleporting inside like BC2

pigmazurka: You hop on the back of the humvee, set your gun down, pull up a rail to stop the equipment from sliding off, move into the turret

pigmazurka: Risk for reward, you can get shot while moving inside

pigmazurka: Have like targets set up to see how far bullets drop over time

pigmazurka: Don't want realism like games like AA and ARMA

pigmazurka: There's a point where realism stops being fun, obviously
«13th»hav0k569: it might not teach you all of them, maybe your basics about flanking and stuff
pigmazurka: Basic things needed for teamwork
pigmazurka: Being sci fi there could be AI you could train against
«13th»hav0k569: most definitely and we'll reward teamwork and encourage it
pigmazurka: Thinking of flanking we have to have a cover system
pigmazurka: Breaching and clearing, actually
«13th»hav0k569: Yeah and being able to go from cover to cover seamlessly and be able to jump over onto the other side of cover
pigmazurka: Should cover be in 3rd person?
pigmazurka: It's hard to do that without being OP though
pigmazurka: It's too much of an advantage...
pigmazurka: FP cover is interesting to think about
«13th»hav0k569: No it would take you out of the immersion we're obviously trying to put players in
pigmazurka: Realling nice to think about
pigmazurka: Really*
pigmazurka: FP cover is giving you protection without taking away the other players chances
«13th»hav0k569: It's keeping everything fair and adds to that level of tension
pigmazurka: Peak and lean has to be there, too
pigmazurka: Something games like to overlook
pigmazurka: And blind fire is still an option
pigmazurka: But, can't make it like CoD where bullets come out at an impossible angle
pigmazurka: So it would still be inaccurate, but wouldn't be crazy impossible to hit
pigmazurka: Still with me here?
pigmazurka: Also makes me think of having character attributes like muscle mass

guys, there is a game coming out thats (sorta) like this. brink. im saying brink because of the body mass thing

That's body type, and Brink comes out next year.

Muscle mass was what we were talking about, and how you could gradually increase it to reduce recoil on weapons without stocks, or when you were blind firing a weapon around a corner.
