| I just want to get a grasp of the amount of people in the !3th who use magnum ammo. Not just because I hate it, so I do not mark a remark about people using it and offend a fellow team member. Plus, it would be interesting to see how many. |

| When I roll as assault I usually roll with Mag Ammo and Lightweight or a 4x on bigger maps. If I'm assaulting into a large number of enemies I might use Medic, Mag Ammo & +Health with an MG36 otherwise I'd be medic with +Range & +Health. Engineer & Recon I probably run Extra Boom.
It all goes out the window a bit for Vietnam though, Medic always gets +Range & +Health and everything else gets Body Armor & Lightweight. |

| M60 with 4x Scope and Mag Ammo is the usual thing that pisses people off as it's probably the lowest form of gameplay given the fact that we are teamplay orientated as a clan. We spend a lot of time encouraging thinking tactically about things and working to the strengths of a squad instead of just loading up and charging towards the enemy. |

| Yes and all the time. Even when running shotty I'll run magnum to increase the lethality range and/or ensure a kill if I clipped them. |

| Even on Hardcore mode (yes, in barracudas, but still enjoy some Battlefield BC2 on my free time) I tend to use mag ammo. Esp with sniper |

Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. If it were an easier mode to play, then why cant you tag the enemy for your entire team to see? Just remember that you die just as fast. |

Just remember that you die just as fast. that's why though. it's for people that camp a lot and cannot handle losing their position. don't worry, i can still dominate on hardcore, i just don't dig it. i don't understand why there is sensor balls in the game but in hardcore they basically just beep. also, yeah, the spotting thing, lame it isn't a piece of hardcore. if hardcore is supposed to simulate real life, and with all of the intel we have today in real life, i know if i see an enemy and i'm far away, i'd be calling it in through some type of communication to my team. to me, hardcore is who sees who first and doesn't really display skill to me. just my thought. if it's your thing, have at it. but magnum ammo is pointless in hardcore. you're basically equipped with it out the gate. |

but magnum ammo is pointless in hardcore. you're basically equipped with it out the gate. Ive made it through like 23 ranks playing non-hardcore in BFBC2, but thats almost all I play in CoD. Mah. the camping does suck. Love Vietnam, I have thought several times about changing over to the BFBC2 divison, but Im trying to get up to 15th prestige. Anyone on the 360, add me tho. Like I said, I still do play BFBC2 ("Nam) when I get tired of CoD, and I would like to play with other members of the clan. |

See, that's only relevant if you play with your team. I've always felt hardcore is basically the non-team version of Bad Company 2 for players who like to sit on a hill top somewhere and work on their K/D ratio and it's good that we keep those kind of players out of the real game. If you view it from the lone wolf viewpoint then spotting in hardcore would be terrible as you can't hide behind a rock and keep up the sneaky barrage whereas from the team player's point of view it doesn't matter if they get spotted because it drops off after they get killed and once their bro has revived them and another team member spotted the sniper then that sniper is a greasy smear on the landscape or sprouting a long metal stfu in their head. |

And the hill camping is what, in my opinion, breaks hardcore mode. The beauty with core or regular mode (or whatever you call it), is that the spotting system coupled with a minimap, sensor balls, and good ol' communication is what makes it interesting to see tactics to unfold. People do not die in one hit, and therefore are more emboldened to run between cover more often and take up more aggressive and albeit faster-paced gameplay. But this is not to disrespect the hardcore players. I'm just saying core and hardcore are two different breeds of players. Comparing who is better across the modes is a whole different beast to tackle. It just so happens that in core, magnum ammo is more of a practical solution to dealing with faster-paced gameplay (in which slews of opfor may be rushing you). Then you've got to drop them... fast! |
