Please show me (or tell) how to make a signature

Try downloading photoshop cs4 or GIMP thos two programs are IMO the best for making sigs. I use photoshop and its fine.

Well, photoshop costs some money so I would go with GIMP. Also, if you want to learn how to make signatures then you need to go on Youtube and you can probably find some guides or something.

A BC2 sig is easy to make, and it's free, which is always a bonus.

(If you customise it make sure the picture you use is as big as possible.)

Photoshop CS4 is free for a month, and frankly, Adobe allows you to keep downloading the trial (even with the same account!).

In order to actually post an image, go to your signature and enter the image's URL (found by right clicking it, then properties, then location) then surround that by IMG brackets. Looks like this ....... [ i m g ] paste URL here [ / i m g ] ...... without the spaces and periods. Use that method to post images anywhere on the boards. If you can't find any images and don't have a program or the knowledge to generate you own, PM me and I'll whip you up something.

Thank you for sharing that info! I eventually figured out how to post the signature...but for us uniformed greenhorn forum users like me, it helps a lot.

Alright not tryin to be a jerk, I have to do this with most new members. But please read when a post was made. bringing back posts makes you a post necromancer...not a very good title. So please from now on read when the last post was. Hope apart from me raggin on you, you're liking the clan so far

making signatures isnt a piece of cake... i also used photoshop past 3 years ago and after 1 year i started to make some cool singatures after a bunch of tutorials etc but after some months i quit it because i changed to after effects video special effects but i need a much more better camera cause mine has some "grain" effect and that thing make the work harder ... you can remove it but the procesing is too long so i quit

i tried my luck in photosop past 1month but i forgot almost everything about it and i dont have the time to revesit all those tutorials and get the my pack of brushesh c4d etc...

if you really want to do something here are some tips
start with the basic not signatures like make a lightsaber ... a lightning effect

you can find those tutorials easily... i recomend video tutorials at the beggining it's very usefull...
you can follow step by step and after you watched it you can do that for 10 20 times until you learn it not on the mechanical way cause if you do a break for 1week or 2 you will start to forget

and the best way to start with signatures is by trying to learn some effect for text flame ice etc. if you can make some cool signatures just with text then you are on the right way

and on this part you can specialys yourself you can try to make animation signators or just normal one depends on your style

Pardoning the thread necro and getting back to what the question was.

It all depends on what you are trying to achieve.

The way I started making sigs was just messing with photo shop. Testing out all the features, tools, LEARNING WHAT EVERY SINGLE BUTTON DOES.

A long and arduous process, but rewarding... oh so very rewarding.

You can learn from tutorials... but if you do it my way, and learn how to use every facet of photoshop... You'd just take a glance at those tutorials and be like... "haha, I know a better way, and it'll look 10 times better."

I also am pretty proficient at sketching, drawing, painting... So after a while I incorporated both my love of technology and my love of art. Getting my tablet was the best thing I could've done. I used to do online paintings of people and stuff. And I'm usually modest, but these paintings looked lifelike.

(For some reason they all ended up being romantic.... IDK why... lol)

Anyway back to the sig making...

First step is to look at the requirements of the sig. I put in all the elements that the sig recipient requires. Then I just have a hay day with artistic creativity.
