Well, I have been using GIMP and I am a little stuck on something. I can't get the white background to go away. Here is my picture so far..

You have to have it set as transparent, and it has to be a .png or type that supports multiple layers, .jpgs don't.

Convert to a PNG on an online converter, then use the Magic Wand tool (or the GIMP equivalent) and select the white background. Then press Delete. Then you have that image with a transparent background.

Next time, when you create a new image, choose the Transparent option for the background.

Okay so I finished my image. Made the file PMG and as I go to upload as avatar it comes up and says my type of file is not allowed. I am stuck again. Neutral
