1.5 is definately something all the bf2 players need to get. its the new standard, all the good servers are on it. plus the xpacks are great. euroforce and armored fury. no disk is handy too! see you guys on the field!

How do you patch without the CD?

you shouldnt need the cd to patch anything. just to play. but with the new patch, you dont need the cd to play. all you do, if the game is installed, which it is, is dl the patch and install it and thats it.

I mean, how do you patch it to 1.5 if you dont have a CD or you dont have the game installed already?

uh well you need to install the game. but i dont know why this matters... i'm pretty sure you have the game. install the game, dl the patch, play with us.

yeah they have to buy the game. cd. but the patch allows you to play without the cd. for instance i have the aoe3 cd in my driver, and i used to have to put the bf2 cd in, but now i can just play. without a cd.

no. i dont get it. everyone has to get a cd to get the game. i dont know, but there probably are ways to buy and download it online.

Yea xfire has a game store now and you can buy and download it from them, or steam has just added bf2 recently, if you buy it from steam or xfire it comes in a bundle which has 1.5 patch in the pack

when you buy it from xfire, is it like they ship it to you or you download it from them?

You can either download it from them or they will ship you the game, But youll have to pay for shipping and handling tho.

Lol, You can pretty much order anything from them. The only thing they will not cover is the shipping and handling.

Check your propeties or go to run - dxdiag and check what type of ram you got.
