| I got a new laptop for Christmas. It's completely new and performs good, but suddenly yesterday it started to not fully charge the battery. When it get's to 59% it stops and won't charge up to 100%.
As I said, it's completely new and the battery's not old at all, so I don't have any idea about why it does this. Can somebody tell me why it does this and how to fix it? |

| I think there's also some recommended time to charge it, whenever I get a new device it's usually 12-24 hours charging before you can unplug and use it, then back to charging whenever it reaches 100%, don't know if it could do that since I always allowed it to charge while being highly excited to use my new device... |

| Okay, I found out what was wrong. Yesterday, I had turned on a function that extended the battery life, because the laptop was eating the charge away right in front of my eyes. My charging cable (or whatever it's called in English) is compatible with my sister's laptop, who had stolen it from me. So yeah, I turned on the battery life extension thingy. One of the things it did was limit the battery capacity to 60% for some odd reason. I hadn't noticed that and I had forgotten the function on. Noticed it just a minute ago |

| Or you can adjust settings, that on-plug it would use all power. |
