I am by no means saying it is good for a 12 yo to keep or carry a gun. But this news story reminds me why it is important to have a firearm and teach your kids (if you have any and I do) how to use it. I hope to all I hold dear that my kids never face anything like this but if they do I want them prepared.

she got some gutts to do that most pple would just run like hell but no she stood her ground well done lil girl

Unfortunatly, here in holland, if a burglar comes in your house, and you beat the living S*** out of him b/c you feel he's a threat for your family, you get thrown to jail And the guy walks after like 3 months.

Here in the states, that intruder can sue for not knowing there was a firearm in the house. Probally won't win, butthere have been cases like that before. It's flat out amazing what is able to go to court.

I have guns but my best advice to you that don't have them is to hide under the bed and call the police. Remember kids, they're only minutes away when seconds count.
