On the 13th of October, the PS3 Platoon carried out an Internal Tournament called Double Trouble Combat, with the objective of having the 13th MEU Members practice their buddy team tactics, here is a short review of how it developed:
An hour before it started servers were already up, hoping all the members would show up. While waiting for shogun, insomnia, trevino and a few others, someone dropped off, meaning there was a slot still to be filled.
Totalwarrior was a reserve, meaning there was a gap of 3 people. AWulle had already decided he would drop out if needed so other players could pair up. This was not necessary fortunately.
Group A kicked off with totalwarrior filling in for shogun, teaming up with mar. Group B couldn't start yet, because the round would start with 8 people in it, and with only 5 in, they had to change the server settings first.
In group A Shocky and AWulle took the lead and lead all the way. Total and mar came in close but couldn't take the win.
For group B it was decided to let them battle with only 3 buddy teams. Wolverine was allowed and willing to join dreamon so that group A could also kick off.
15 minutes later, S2 texted the results;
dreamon and wolverine & s222d33 and wulfie progressed.
The server for the final was already set up and no time was wasted to get the next round started.
The action was high paced. Teams rushing in to get the important points. Lots of flanking maneuvers and it was key not to get up in the middle of the action, avoiding the sandwich. The excitement was tense, with teams being really equal in points, when all of a sudden, one team jumps around 7 points ahead, making the other team step it up a notch.
Somewhere at 35/40 points AWulle's team thought they had the win in their hands, however Wolverine's team fought back hard. Killing one of them felt like double points. But you know you have to finish both of them off so they couldn't revive each other.
We notice the best of the players is coming out in these competitive gaming styles. The movements of the players, the teamwork, the accuracy, it looks like it's all increased.
Breathtaking moments pass by as the last minutes go to an end, with Wolverine and Dreamon being 3 points away from the win, AWulle being suppressed like crazy and reloading his guns. Thinking he was safe from them under his cover, he did not see S2 coming around the corner with his pistol in hand. This was his end, along with SuperShocky's, handing in the win to Wolverine_DK and Dreamon.

Very fun match
6:20 was when our squad was in a firefight with another squad on the top right side of the map relative to the M-COMs. Then we got flanked by wolverine and red in that video and then they got flanked and then we responded to wolverine and red and then we got shot by that first squad lol
7:50 was when more than one squad was shooting at us from the same area lol
10:15 was the start of one of the last firefights where we were sandwiched on the bridge. Havok and I were taking cover behind that 1 foot of fencing on the bridge for cover from wolverines squad and just over the little bump on the bridge for cover from total squad
11:50 was where I baited wolverine and red so that havok could clean you guys up

Good read! I felt as if I was back in the game fighting for that last ticket Thanks News team, Nexi, much appreciated and fantastic work.
We need to redo this competition again!
