End of summer is upon us. I had the idea, why not throw a bash party or an olympic event either Aug 25th or Sep 1st!

• Bash party, just everyone getting on, goofing off, maybe some pub, or some matches against each other and one huge Platoon "family" photo (ok maybe a few).
  
  
• Olympics, we'd do some of the events below or spread more events over the weekend. And oh ya, a huge "family" photo too.

PLEASE RESPOND: If you are interested, post the following:
- Date you'd like to do this.
- Whether to have a bash or Olympics
- - If you pick Olympics
- - Whether to do 1 or span over 2 days
- - Top 10 events you'd like to do (from best to least)
- - Include any changes you feel an event needs to make it better/more fun.

And maybe we can do this again during Thanksgiving or Christmas break.


Events Yes some ideas were taken from elsewhere

So far it looks like Olympics the 25th, with 12 players.


Jeep Race - Rally
- Up to 6-7 drivers +passengers
- Weapon damage decreased by 25-50%
- Everyone collects all the jeeps
- Race start to finish
- First to cross wins
OPTIONAL:
- Lay down random mines
- Allow use of mounted cannon
- Open fire from seats only

Jeep Race - F1 style
Same as Rally but 3+ laps around the map (sharp corners and tight roads)
- optional repairs allowed

Jeep Race - Nascar style
Same as Circuit but 5+ laps (more open roads)
- optional repairs allowed

Cops 'n Robbers
- 6 players + passengers
- cop jeeps loaded with C4/mines
- Robbers get 5 second start or start from opposite end
- Ramming only
- Robbers win if they "get away", cops win if all robbers killed

Motar Run
- as many join
- first past the motar line wins

Rocket Wars
- as many join
- 2 teams opposite ends
- no revives/med packs
- last team standing wins

Wild West standoff
- as many join
- shotgun or pistols
- 2 teams opposite ends
- no revives/med packs
- last team standing wins

Civil War Reenactment
- as many join
- bolt action weapons no advance technological attachments.
- 2 teams stand on opposites end.
- knife out facing other direction (away from each other)
- count of 3, turn and shoot
- those who die can come back only to provide ammo (or one ammo is depleted, you may switch to pistol or charge and use pistols/knives
- Last team standing wins

HALO/HAHO
- Chopper flies straight up from spawn (or if skilled chopper can be positioned but must be stationary)
- jumpers must land in target zone (close to chopper for HALO, further for HAHO)
OPTIONAL:
- 2 teams, jumpers and shooters, shooters much kill jumpers before they hit the ground in a HAHO, 1 hits ground and game over (like space invaders)

Kill the King
- as many join
- knife only
- Closed area
- King wears a different camo than the rest (1 king for each team) can be 2 teams or more.
- Last king standing wins

Hostage/Kingpin Situation
- as many join
- infiltrate a building killing the kingpin or saving the hostage
- knifes, handguns, or shotguns only

EOD bot wars
- May require setup for boundery out of vehicles
- As many players who join
- In a designated area with boundries
- Last EOD bot standing wins

Transport Wars
- 10 players (5 per chopper)
- Must shoot down chopper with just cannon, rockets or both.
- Players can respwn in chopper
- Remaining chopper wins

Tank wars
- 8+ players
- 4-6 tanks, 2 in each
- everyone else repair or javelins/rockets
- Those outside tank must stay close to tank.
- Only gunner can aim for infantry
- Last team standing wins

Shot put
- as many teams as there are jeeps
- Launch a jeep or EOD as far as possible
- Furthest team wins

X-athlon
- 4-8 players at a time
- Run through a course (jumping, ducking/crawling) (maybe shoot targets or blow something up)
- Jump in jeep for a short race
- jump in tank, drive through course (maybe shoot targets)
- (maybe) jump in choppers, fly through course (maybe shoot tagets)
- can be done in any order but both team must do same order
- first to complete wins

Relay Race
- Same as X-athlon execpt a different player for each section
- need at least 1 player a team for each section
- next section of the race can not start until the previous one is finished.
- first to complete wins
- (this allows the best of that section to be selected)

Zombies
- damage decreased to 25% (or start at 10%, then increase 10 for every zombie added up to 50%)
- TDM or SQR modes
- 2 ticket for every player
- humans any weapon, no smoke or explosives (additional restrictions: no LMGs, pistols only)
- zombies knife, Meds, Smoke, Revives, Respawn
- begin with 1 zombie
- each human killed becomes a zombie and switches over
- human wins when all tickets are gone, zombies win when no humans left

Knife Fight
- as many join
- 1v1 or many vs many
- arena is an empty pool or roof top
- 1v1 winner goes to fight next in line, most points(wins) wins
- last team standing wins

Matches
Conquest, rush, sqrush, tdm, pistols, knifes

Its so typical Im gone the whole next week. Going on a probably amazing trip to Poland and Germany, but this sounds like so much fun this

I have been thinking about this lately. You see all those BF3 videos that are either epic narratives or crazy stunts. It would be cool to all get together and do something like that and film it. Might work as a recruiting tool as well.

Number of days depends on how quickly events can be set up, 1 would be better if possible

I'm thinking of starting it at 5pm EST, that would make it 2pm PST and 9pm (21:00) GMT

Those who are going to record should show up at least 30 minutes before so we can talk.

I think EST is 5 hours behind GB and 6 hours behind Europe, unless your time changed again.

At that time I don't know if I'll be able to make it, because I imagine it would take a while to finish. I understand that time zones don't make it easy to organise stuff like this though.

EST is currently GMT-4. I think we only have a couple of west costers that may/may not participate. So we can bump it down to 4pm EST making it 8pm (20:00) GMT and 1pm PST.

Well in GB we are BST (GMT+1) and Europe is CEST (GMT+2).

We'll see if any west costers join in. If not, or they don't care, we might be able to bring this down a couple of hours. Down to 19:00 or 18:00 GMT. We'll do what we do, then if enough, we can continue it Sun, or not.

how late at night do you want me to stay up for this

Please not a Friday or Saturday (I have work :/). Anytime up to like 20:00 UK time, maybe a little later is good for me.

Anything goes for the game type. I like the look of all of them !
