last nite a freak accident almost gave me a heart attack shhhh dont tell my wife lol i was on my pc my son fell off the chair next to me into my pc and somehow the video card one of the fans started making a loud tapping sound i found one of the fins hanging by a thread so now it runs but when i hit the power button it turns orange and beeps tryed unplugging holding button when un plugged any other ideas

He fell into a PC?

Get a replacement fan for the video card?

Flashing orange or solid?

How does the beep go? (1 long, 2 short)

yep fell right into it unbelieveable well im at work atm but i think its flashing with 3 beeps. 3 short pause 3 short

will post exactly what it does when i get home but i think something came loose or vid card is done cause 1 fan stopped working till i took broken fin off then it was ok but orange light and beeps occur what a drag

A few things, it could be the video, power supply or ram OR something else.

If you haven't yet. remove and replace the video card.
Then try unplugging your power supply for 30 minutes, to let the power drain from it.

Remove all but one stick of ram. Then swap sticks, if you have others, use those.

If your motherboard has onboard video, take the card out and use that.

Otherwise, remove each component one by one.

well heres the bad news the mobo is fried cant figure out how that happened but when i removed everything it still beeped so im replacing it oh and f dale is 10 minutes from me lol wheres the reception i prob know the place

yes vid card and i had 2 diff techs good thing 1st said mobo but i thought there was no physical damage but vid card was hit and fan stopped so igot it all figured out. open bars are always great h
