Buying A Laptop Empty
PostSubject: Buying A Laptop   Buying A Laptop EmptyWed Apr 25, 2012 6:21 am

Hey there,

So for my birthday I'm probs gonna buy a laptop. I have $250 worth JB Hi-FI vouchers, plus about $500 bucks worth of birthday money...

I'll need to buy a mouse and keyboard, but they're prey cheap. So I was wondering what brand are good and not too expensive?

Thanks Wink

you got a good desktop for gaming? Or you don't take pc gaming to seriously? Thing is with these laptops is that they get outdated very fast, you cannot upgrade ( máybe you can upgrade one or two things to a later model, but even then it is hardly worth the effort and hideously overpriced ). And that all these shiny components are Mobile versions, aka heavily nerfed. I got a 1.5 year old €1200 laptop here that is completely outdated in terms of gaming hardware. Mobility is overrated, you'll hardly take that thing with you anywhere. If you still need mobility to take it with you to school, you could always get a mini laptop or a tablet provided you don't need to run heavy applications.

Well.. if you're going to be gaming.. I'd suggest Asus or MSI? If it's casual I still suggest Asus or MSI xD... Some of their cheaper ones are alright.
