Shanghai's in there, so that'll be pretty cool. Looks legit enough, but for an Alpha I thought it would be a bit better. I mean that's compared to the Arma 3 Alpha.

There are also new vehicles, so say goodbye to the Humvee I think. It's looking good though, thanks for keeping us posted!

This is basically what ARMA's pre-alpha probably looked like.

With ARMA 3 alpha being available to the public, I think it was more of a post alpha/pre-beta if you get what I mean

DICE are probably more bothered about testing the mechanics than the graphics at the moment, especially with people playing it at E3, although I'd expect them to be playing on a map with finished textures for that

Battlepacks... they better not be what I think they are going to be -_-

I see what you mean. The unfinished textures just make it look like a shoddy job, even if the whole UI is fine.

Also, at least we'll have squads of at least 6 now, though I'm still waiting for word on the whole Commander-Squad system.

Nevertheless, it still looks like a bunch of fun, maybe a fun sandbox mod. I'd really like to go drifting in BF4 Shanghai, I don't know if it's just me...

Oh and the Battlepacks probably are, since EA have decided to use more microtransaction BS which means Pay2Win crap. I just hope that it doesn't ruin it for everyone else.

And it looks like the Humvees are replaced by RG 31's or Cougars.
And it looks like even if you don't have a flash light on your gun you can have one and turn it on.
And commarose on consoles.
The recon doesn't look like a ninja anymore.
And different types of knives to choose from.
Whys is there a bunch of Czech guns, I havent seen any american ones. All there is that I've seen is CZ's and Chinese guns.

It will be disappointment if EA will not allow any modifications.... (Again).
Probably no, because they will not earn money from microtransactions or dlc...

It's actually Xbox 360. There's no Back button on the Xbox One... just a Menu and View button (which respectively look like a Navicon and two boxes).

5 man squads pretty cool. That and the presumed commander mode will be pretty neat together.

I'm pretty sure Arma3 and COD:Ghosts both beat BF4. Nothing special on these screenshots, if at first Dice were adding something new to each game now they just change level and squad number caps. Combat mostly is made Arma-style, and storyline mostly is made COD-based, but unlike both Arma and COD they simply don't add anything new this time.
Cmon, they could've at least added naval battles hence they're the only ones lacking with DICE.

We don't even know anything about the MP yet Skarbrand. Naval battles are rumoured. Also, combat is not at all like ARMA, and I'm a big fan of that series. You can't really compare the games. E3 tomorrow should show a lot of new stuff.

But that's too little too late, BF2 mods were coming out less than a year after released. You're telling me that Venice Unleashed will probably be out with the release of BF4 when people will want to mod BF4 instead.

I don't think they would add naval battles. I'd love them but I don't see how it could really be added. Maybe littoral combat (shore combat) near rivers and coastlines and stuff. Maybe just maybe an Iron Gator type scenario (map in BF2: SF where the inside of the carrier was where all the fighting was happening). I could see some naval combat happening in the campaign though--like in MW3.

I'm not that bothered if there's naval combat or not. Looks like on that leaked map the RHIB Boat might be useful for crossing A-C

Yeah me neither as well. It was in BF 1942 but the naval combat in that was more like a perk instead of some intrinsic gameplay mechanism.

Bring back the artillery weapon from BC that was awesome

I've played from COD 1- Black Ops and since MW1 onwards it was always the same thing
