1. Find your preferred method of flying: E.g, Keyboard, mouse, joystick.
2. Practice in an empty server until controlling flight and firing rockets is no sweat.
3. Get the right Vehicle Sensitivity for the gunner seat.
4. By the love of god, spot from the gunners seat, you can free look by default with the "C" key.
5. Try to establish voice communication with your pilot, and the gunner should always command the pilot, seeing as he is the chief means of eliminating targets.
6. Stingers have a maximum range, use this to your advantage. A good way to deal with stingers is to stay out of "stinger zones" that is, areas that are populated with enemy and you are likely to get locked on to. My strategy is to fly into a stinger zone, flare, do my damage, and fly back out quick and clean. But nothing is 100% foolproof.
7. When getting locked onto, flare as soon as you hear the chime, because stinger users are already reloading once that first missile is out.
8.When you see an enemy attack or scout helicopter, it becomes the priority target.
9. Jets are very annoying, as pilot you should dodge the jet by descending or ascending quickly and strafing out smoothly, letting off the rotor throttle when needed.
10. And if you are not comfortable in air vehicles, DO NOT GET IN A FLIPPING AIR VEHICLE.
