I wanted to bring up the topic of Christmas Noobs just as a discussion. I can only speak for myself (although even Activision acknowledged owning these noobs) but I do feel a little cheap when I get in a lobby with people that are clearly of the lower ranks and just recently got the game.

However, we all know that ranks don't tell the whole story of someone's skill level. I'm currently only at level 52 and haven't prestiged. However, I've been playing COD for a long time, just not on the level and ferocity that others gamers have done.

What are your thoughts on the whole "Christmas Noob" experience? Does it cheapen your kills, or is a kill just a kill?

Lol I think of it as a boost, cause they just got the game and they aren't very aware of some of the things in the game. It helps me rank up a bit faster. But in the end a kill is just a kill.

I Dont really like having the server full with and owning these noobs, but its even worse getting killed by one, (yesterday i got killed by a lvl 1 with default weapon in play 4 free) xD.

Didn't really know it applied to Call of Duty games since Christmas is only a relatively short time after CODs are released

It is a bit cheap but I guess makes for a few more recruits into the clan

Well, it's a thing that's been in a lot of COD games. I've seen so many montages on youtube about Christmas Noobs. Even saw one that was a PSA about "sharing your care packages the holiday season, and equip the blackbird" lol.

hey hey hey now, Im a xmas noob for BF3, just got my internet working for multiplayer last night. You gotta respect the lil guy (even if only their potential) yall were there at one point.

Oh I don't doubt that everyone was a noob at one point in time. You've got to admit thought that it's crazy to see how people react (or in some cases don't react) when you play online. Especially when you're a seasoned veteran against someone who just got the game.

WEll those are a nice way to complete challenges and unlock camos for guns and simply lvl up!

I started off with not very popular F2P FPS games, and didn't do all bad at it due to the fact I had a little bit of FPS sense from Playstation 2, then I decided to buy BC2, and didn't do bad at it at all since I already had a good idea of how FPS games worked, so I don't think I ever was actually really a noob Specially on CoD series
